Did Clark play at all?

Damone didn't play a single snap on defense, only special teams. I'm shocked.

LVE, Micah and Barr played all of the snaps. Even Gifford got two snaps on defense.

I said it 5/6 weeks ago. Damone is ROOKIE garbage. He sucks, right now. Shouldn't be on the field.

Hopefully an entire off-season and camp can help him get right but he might be one of those elite college athletes that never had to really understand football and got away with it because of elite talent. NFL don't play that stuff.

Agreed. I still don't understand why Jabril Cox has hardly been called to get on the field? Is it for the same reasons we've seen Damone Clark struggle at times due to missing the wrong reads as a LB, or is it because Dan Quinn is favoring the much older veteran LBs?
There is a reason Cox isn’t playing. He wasn’t even getting a chance in the last game. We didn’t even care about that game..

Hey, I like Damone Clark as a potentially good LB. His speed is good, but his recognition is not where it needs to be. I believe that recognition will improve, but for now, LVE is premium as the MLB for the Cowboys.
Yup. As usual fans are getting too carried away too quickly. Clark for sure has all the physical tools to be a very good LB, but I don’t think he’s all that close with the mental tools yet. As good as he can look in a chase and tackle situation there are plenty of times he struggles to diagnose plays.
He is a rookie who missed significant time after all so it’s not to be unexpected he struggles in certain areas. No reason he can’t make big strides in the off season and be more of a contributor next year. But for right now? No I don’t really want him on the field a lot for Shanahan to take advantage of. Unfortunately might not be much of a choice if Kearse can’t go though…

If not I am in shock. This kid and his speed need to be on the field. He is the perfect LBer to matchup with McCaffrey. LVE great game not saying he sits but I sure as hell have him and Clark on the field at the same time.

Didn't look like it, I saw lve play a lot and barr

Last night was more about playing safeties because the Bucs don't even try to run the ball. Obviously, the Niners are very different so expect a change this week.

Ditto,

With a team attempting an astounding 66 passes ..strongly suggest that they so much do not believe they can run the ball,.. that they practically are abandoning it.

Thus the nickel and 3 safety look from Quinn, daring Bucs to prove they can run on us --and they flat could not..

I'm seeing Clark just got limited special teams play only vs Bucs.

I believe it could be possible that the rookie Clark has hit the typical rookie wall with mental and physical fatigue - he's not at his best right now.
Luke Gifford doesn't give me the biggest backup depth comfort.

But with the way the Cowboys had no fear or respect for Bucs run game, and played excessive amount of nickel, we could get away with little LB depth help.
With the way Niners run so many brilliant " Misdirection" plays and can run the ball from McCaffrey to Deebo .. i highly doubt we can get away with multi-safety, nickel looks
that we did vs Bucs.

I've heard that Kearse is doing ok. It sure didn't look like it on the field, though.

They played Barr A LOT vs the Bucs....Dude is terrible.... With LVE back and able to get Clark in the right spots presnap, he needs to play the entire game over Barr. Barr looks like Brady out there running around. He runs like old people f....

All I’ve seen is “knee injury” and McCarthy said that he “might” be able to participate in a walk through today. Probably won’t get any real news until there’s an actual practice tomorrow.

I don’t recall him doing anything.

He has potential but his eyes and instincts have a ways to go.

Well, he certainly hasn't shown much this year. I'm guessing he isn't tearing up things in practice or he would be playing.
Practice shouldn't determine if a guy should get on the field or not. If it did we probably would've never saw Dak and would've went straight to Kellen Moore.
