Did coaching interest affect Quinn?

Definitely seems like he spent his time thinking about something else. He rolled out the same ole same ole and the Packers were more than ready for that. The wide open receivers were a simple scheme wrinkle that they knew would be open.

He mailed in the game plan...they did so good all year in man and he went heavy zone...they needed more run support and he went heavy dbs...

He literally did the exact opposite of what he needed to do

No. He’s an idiot. He did the same vs buffalo. Many of us on here said it all week, we weren’t upset about him leaving. This is why

I'm not sure, what are your thoughts? I'd surely hope not, maybe a distraction if anything
I don't know how it couldn't?

Especially if it is a dream job? How can your thoughts not be diverted?

I think the process is terrible. They shouldn't be able to talk to someone until they are out of the playoffs.

Haven’t been a supporter of Quinn’s for six weeks or so. His scheme
Has been figured out by those shanahan proteges.
Run the ball against Dallas and then complete passes against soft “I’ll give you a 10 yard cushion” coverage.

Since he became the HC in Atlanta his defenses have been terrible in postseason. An embarrassment! What happened yesterday should deter some teams from wanting to hire him.

POST OF THE DAY!! Agreed, let it wait until the complete season is over

Idk it sure didn't look like we prepared for the Packers offense or any offense at all.

Doubtful, the defense was never really that good to begin with. It works fine in the regular season against tomato cans but isn’t built for the playoffs.

I think he implemented a conservative scheme thinking it would help keep the blame for losing off of him but it blew up in his face as GB was ready for it and Love picked it apart.

No, I don’t think so he just got out schemed. Pre snap motion and play action has bothered them all year long and it did again yesterday. Last 7 games of the year the defense wasn’t great. That said there are other teams with coordinators up for jobs so it’s a lame excuse if it did.

And if it did, then he’s clearly not the coach we thought he was.

I wish the NFL would say that no coaches can interview until after the Super Bowl.

People too often look for psychological/social reasons for bad performances. Pundits have been saying the whole time that GB was a bad match-up for us because they have a balanced attack driven by play action and motion, and we struggle with both. That's what we saw and Quinn had no answer for it. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.

We lost every game we didn't get a turnover this season. The defense was turnover or bust all year. I didn't see anything different last night than what we saw all year long (and last year).

No, Quinn has been getting softer over the course of the season. That last drive in the Detroit game should have been the warning sign that this defense lost its focus. This defense can only be successful if it plays aggressively. Sure, it might get burned but in the past it succeeded way more than it got hurt. But if they give the QB the pocket they gave Love yesterday, they cannot win. Plus this is not a zone team. Why switch to zone this late in the season. Clearly the secondary was not sure of their assignments which is why so many receivers were wide open. What bothers me about that decisions is Love has eaten up zone defenses this year and has struggled more with man coverage. Why go to zone against that team? You have to trust what got you there in the first place.
