Simple question, Did Gibbs leave the team better than when he first got there?

I'm going to have to say No.

They seem to have more talent now, but at what price?

20 million over the cap

Old Oline

Very Old D line

Very little depth anywhere

Pissed away draft picks like they were tic tacs

Gave up 3 picks (including 2 first rounders) for a qb who someday strives to be average. (kinda funny when you think about it. JC will be the only qb Gibbs CAN"T take to the SB:lmao2:

No viable #1 at reciever. The ones they do have are either midgets, can't catch, or both.

The Skins are the oldest team in the NFL

Looking at the above, I think you'd be hard pressed to think he left the team in better shape then when he got there. Whoever is the next coach in DC is inheriting a total disaster waiting to happen.

Say what you want about Parcells, the man has never left a team worse than when he got there. The same can't be said about Gibbs.

I'm wondering if Gibbs stepped down because there didn't seem to be any chance of a NFL strike in the next few years, and because of it didn't really like his chances of going to the SB.

They're pretty much at the same point.

The salary cap mess is driven by Snyder and will charge on regardless of who the coach is.

I think Marty or Spurrier could have made the playoffs a few times if they'd had been given more time.

The biggest negative for Redsk*n nation to come out of the Gibbs 2.0 era is that it tarnished the memory of Gibbs 1.0 in the hearts and minds of their fans. But I think this late charge and the wake of the ST death has patch some of that over and has Gibbs riding out of town on a pseudo-high note.

I know I'll miss his confused wrinkled face on the sideline. Blatantly lying during press conferences and wearing out cliches like "playing our guts out." And most of all blowing late leads and not understanding the rules. :lmao2:

If they're having to release Cornelius Griffin, Shawn Springs and some others this offseason ... no. Throwing away draft picks in needless trades (TJ Duckett) really set them back.

This was supposed to be the year they "found out" about Jason Campbell. They only thing they found out is that he couldn't carry a 36 year old career backup's jockstrap.

Only a cowboys fan would think of something that far away from reality.

And what does that have to do with what I'm talking about....nothing? lol

You should not have put all your hopes on a dead man winning games for you.

I can't believe they actually have t-shirts for something so insignificant. What's worse, I can't believe there are fools out there that would buy them. I hope nobody would be proud of a 9-8, third place in their division team in a bad conference that had their doors blown off in the playoffs by a Seattle team that only beat one team with a winning record (a team that also ended up 9-8).

Off the top of my head, Gibbs is normally good in December, giving fans hope the next year in the Skins dominating. All of DC was pretty much calling for Gibbs' head right after the loss to the Bills.

Find a post where I said Sean Taylor, the dead man you spoke of, was the winning the games for us or stop showing yourself to be a classless buffoon without a single original thought in your head.
