I don't recall seeing #84 in the game. Has Escabar taken over?! Has the days of two TEs with Escabar finally arrived?

The presence of TWO TEs that can block and catch with dominant OL + RB and Dez outside is our dream come true.

I wish we could get him involved in the passing game. With his speed he should be a matchup nightmare.

Yeah, I don't get it either. He really doesn't seem to serve much purpose. I've never liked him as blocker. If he's here just for that they could find someone better.

He was in helping pass protect on the 2nd Escobar td and doing a good job on that play.

If I remember correctly. They lined up side by side. Hanna inside Escobar. Probably looked like a run formation.

Escobar took off on his route and Hanna stayed in to block.

You haven't kept up. He's actually a very good inline blocker now. What you said was true two years ago, and to some extent last year.

I don't doubt it at all. I'll have to pay closer attention to him, but I'd kinda long written him off.

He's been blocking really well his season. He's played more snaps than Escobar in all but one game.

In the Cowboys blocking scheme it's very important for the TEs to know all of the intricacies than to be physically dominant blockers. They don't really want a guy like MartyB that physically looked almost like an OT, but was very limited in the roles he could play because he either couldn't or wouldn't learn all of the intricacies.

Why aren't guys ever satisfied with what they have? I just had an epiphany (in my living room). We need to get CJ Miller...but we have the best back in the league right now.

MB playing lights out...we have daily debates about Lee who didn't make it through one day of camp.

Guys at work talk about trading guys all the time. I guess you can't help it.

I forgot about our TE debate...now Escobar is taking Witts spot.

turns out he has been recovering from a knee injury from preseason. now he is healthier and surprise, beasting. Hanna is fine dude. hes blocking really well and is a good ST guy.

You don't watch the games do you?

There were times yesterday all three TE's were on the field. I think they did that a couple of times in that clock killing drive. One time they lined up all on the right side (It may have been that big 3rd down run) and all three just collapsed the line left and off DeMo went. I think all three TE's are pretty damned good and each brings unique talent to the table. Witt's just an All Pro in front.

The longer these guys get to learn from Witten, and the more of a threat they become the better. Also helps to take some of the pressure off Witten to be the main checkdown guy
