What about Schmitt, Hos? He went even earlier didn't he?
Seahawks took him with the 5th round pick we traded them in the move up for Jenkins.

The shower curtain rod broke when that happened. :D

The sad thing is, we MAY have been able to stay where we were at select Jenkins at #22 and possibly taken Jones at 28. Leaving us with our 5th and Owen Schmitt. ARRRGGGHH. That run on RBs after we took Jones, though, may not have made that possible. Hindsight is always 20/20 but that sure would have made for a nice haul with the rest of our picks.

MAY? San Diego would have pounced all over Jenkins.

You misunderstood. I said if we took Jenkins at #22 and gambled on taking Jones at #28. Jones MAY have fallen to us and MAYBE not. Come on now, speed, it's right there in black and white.

One way or the other, it's obvious we coveted Jones more than Jenkins.

The Titans probably would have taken Felix over Chris Johnson.

I've heard several times that the Titans were going to draft Jones if he was there. Thats why they reached with Johnson.

You're probably right, but I wouldn't have been terribly upset with Jenkins, Johnson, and Schmitt.

Oh well. I'll take what we got and root like hell.

Well let me be the first to say I told you so because Garrett is extremely high on Deon Anderson, he's going to be a player....

He's another guy with good hands out of the backfield and will a better lead blocker in Garrett's system...

I don't see Schmidt making it in the NFL...very little athletic ability.

to me he already looks like Moose in his twilight....way too slow and stiff.

Exactly...

I thought of you when that pick went down.

But I also thought that he's a poor fit for this team -- Owen is a throwback smash mouth player and it is becoming clear that we are a bit prissier than that on offense now.
