Did Jerry just say that Ellis was close to practicing?

I wasn't playing attention, because he was talking about a new deal with American Airlines. But I thought he said Ellis was doing more than he had been. He wouldn't say that Greg would play, but I thought he said he was getting closer.

I hope I didn't hear wrong, but I might have, or it could have been Jerry being overly optimistic again. But good news if true. I still think Ellis might play at least some on Sunday.

I don't think most intelligent people have such wild swings in their opinions but rather those with a particular opinion are more active in expressing it at certain times.

I think that is what I heard, because some reporter made a reference to Newman right when Wade got to the podium.

It's also been interesting to watch his ardent supporters over the last two years go from "Greg Ellis is all class. It's not about money. He's just unsure about the position change and the new scheme." to "Okay ... he just wants more money."
