Am I late to the party on this? Read an article pre-draft write up about DAK getting a DUI in Feb that apparently was dismissed for some flimsy reason. Would have thought more would have been said of this? Google it no link right now from me but no joking around I read an article way back talking about it...want to say it was a local paper or TV station in his area...? If this is false I apologize but it would have to be phony because I did read it.

Also didn't know the Broncos had their sights on getting him in Rd 2...?

It's interesting that they go out of their way in that article to talk about how bad his accuracy is.

We've seen very few accuracy issues so far. Basically just a couple of misses on deep balls, but he's been pretty damn accurate otherwise.

Yeah could have been smoke from Broncos deflecting who they really wanted...and got.

Just surprised the local media hasn't hammered us with the DUI stuff and pigeon-holed him as another tainted pick with upside.

He was basically arrested on the suspicion of a DUI. For whatever reason the breath test would not work. Cop blamed Dak, judge threw it out. I think the Judge basically had to throw it out since he had no test results to go by. Cop should have got a blood test. By the way my family's small town doctor always said to refuse a breath test and request a blood one.

Dak's accuracy issues were because of his inconsistent feet in college. He wasn't always getting set properly. A lot of that had to do with the pressure he got because of pass blocking issues.

Flimsy reason like NO EVIDENCE

Who needs evidence? Suspicion is considered evidence pretty much anywhere in the modern police state of today. It is at least a doorway to plea for probated sentences like reckless driving and other less serious offenses so prosecution still gets away with one. That he was there and was suspected of drunk driving by an officer yields a 95% conviction rate at jury trial, so the outright dismissal of the case leads me to believe that some stuff went down behind the scenes. Whatever.

Wonder if he was their go to guy if they couldn't trade up to take Lynch in the first?
