Did Rodney Harrison Just Say Justin Tucker is the best kicker in the league?

Not to mention Bailey essentially plays 8+ games a year in what for all intents and purposes is a dome. Meanwhile, Tucker kicks a minimum of 10 games a year in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cleveland -- 3 cities with wind coming in hard off the water.

Bailey is great -- and we're lucky to have him -- but Tucker is better.

I could have sworn I heard him say "best player in the league." But even if it was "best player on the Ravens," is that even right? Can a kicker be a team's best player?

They are both damn good. Bailey has a very small edge percentage wise and one more year under his resume. I dont thinks theres a hands down winner or loser here. Both great players. I happen to like our guy.

Agreed. They're 1 and 2 to me, with Tucker ahead at the moment.

Why do you guys always get up in arms when a media person differs opinion than you? The guy said a kicker who hasn't missed a kick all year is the best kicker in the league. You guys will complain about anything.

This year Tucker is the best in the league. Bailey is right behind him.

He's 27 out of 27 this year.

Nice improvement over his 14 and 15 campaigns where his % was 85.3% and 82.5% respectfully.

Justin Tucker is the best in the league, Vinatieri is second, Bailey is third...he's gonna have to prove himself in the playoffs first before I rank him before those first two. If my life is on the line and I need a FG to survive, I feel confident in either Tucker or Vinatieri making that kick. Bailey is great but he doesn't have that playoff resume to earn my trust yet.

The difference is entirely kicks from 50+. In 2014-2015 combined, Tucker was 53-54 from inside 50 (Bailey was 45-48). From 50+, Tucker was 8-19 (Bailey was 10-13).

Bailey has never been asked to kick a FG longer than 56 yards. Tucker has misses from 57, 58, 61 and 64 in his career. From 56 yards in, Tucker has actually been more accurate over his career than Bailey has. Yeah, I know, you can only make the kicks you're asked to make: I'm just claiming that the argument for Bailey being better than Tucker is not a strong one.

Good points.

Those 50+ yarders, especially if it was in cold/unfavorable conditions are tough ones.

Ehhh. I don't know why so many people care. Both sides here are funny as hell. The Cowboys fans who run out to defend their players at all cost, and how upset they are for anyone to think that someone might actually think someone else is better than one of our guys.

But the people who can't wait to point out someone is better than one of our players is funny as well. We've always got that small group of people who are quick to try and point out anyone that they can to argue they're better then some player we have.

All I care about is how great the players on the Cowboys play for the Cowboys. I love Dan Bailey. The guy is golden with me. I don't care what Tucker is doing for the Ravens. Good for him.
