Did Schultz win the starting job?

Jarwin will get TD's and big plays.

I want to see screens to him too

I want to see Jarwin line up at hback too. He did it in college, where he blocked from multiple positions.

My dream offense is lots of motion, lots of multiple run threats, lots of formation flex. In with Jarwin and Pollard, out with Gallup and Schultz.

Is Schultz the starter next year?

I think he proved enough to earn the job.

63 receptions 613 yards and 4 TDs. And that was with Dak only throwing to him for about 4 games.

Jarwin better have a good training camp.

Competition at the TE position. I like it.
TE will be a position of strength, looking forward to a healthy Jarwin returning,, not a bad thing to have two very similar elevated TEs available in Schultz and Jarwin.
More Weapons for Dak is not a competition, just more opportunities for a potential completion.

C'mon now, this is the Cowboys and whoever gets paid the most, plays the most. I would certainly like to see a good mix of both TEs, but I have to go with Jarwin cause of the extra juice he gives to the offense.

Dallas can cut Jarwin after 2021. Only 2 mill in dead cap.

Good competition.

Hopefully we draft Pitts. But if no, Schultz is definitely better than Jarwin.

I don't think Jarwin has ever put together a complete season, or even a couple good games in a row.

Schultz earned it and Jar may not be 100% yet. ACL’s are difficult on route runners.

If it isn’t Pitts though, you’re exactly right... there should be some great competition at that spot because Shultz did prove a lot last year. He deserves a shot.

Jarwin is a pretty good player too though, so I say let them battle it out.

First off Blake jarwin has to prove that he's healthy and ready to return the form that could take a year so it's a good chance Schultz could share or get a good portion of the shared reps while jarwin recovers

If not for jarwin knee injury and recovery it wouldn't be even close to a competition the team likes jarwin movement skill and vertical speed to threaten deep middle seams
Schultz is not on jarwin level in that area.

When it comes to serious injuries like knees and achilles some guys make it back strong some guys never fully get back to previous form that's what we'll have to see about jarwin

Schultz emergence and reliability gives Cowboys an option to go to while jarwin gradually gets back

I like Jarwin but Jarwin has a problem with injuries. Shultz played very good and solid ball and was able to remain healthy.

answer, no they will go right back to jarwin who is higher paid.
Shultz might get to play more since he did good last season,

Cowboys have a pecking order for starters, and how they play lol has nothing to do with it.

well, he certainly is in the conversation and they can have competition at camp. one thing it does do for sure, it will allow us to run a lot of two TE sets, which makes it much more difficult to defend, since you can easily run or pass with two capable TEs....it will be like take your poision, are you going to put in a LB to defend the run (then I can match up my TE against your LB) or are you going to put in a saftey, which then I can run against a smaller front.... that's what Bilicheck was trying to do in NE years ago and Parcells tried, but you need two good TEs capable of catching/blocking.

Jarwin beat out Shultz last offseason, but Shultz played so well in real games that the battle is on again.
They will both play, either way.

Good competition.

Why would we cut jarwin instead of letting go in free agency and better chance getting a compensatory pick if another nfl team wants to throw money at him?

It would be a savings of around 9 mill, not sure how much compensation you would get. He is a FA in 2023 but as of yet has not be able to show a lot. If Cowboys stay with him and Schultz great but I do think Schultz has shown himself as a legit starter should Cowboys choose to part with Jarwin

Those Pats and Eagles two TE package duo can block better than what our TEs can do in line here.
that would be my only problem with both in same time. it's a reason felt they had to sign Blake bell as a blocking specialist

and with the 3 wr offense with lamb cooper and Gallup, what really the likelihood of seeing more of the 2 TE offense than our 3 WR 11 personnel?

I appreciate what Schultz did with jarwin going down for the count, but he ain't that good and that special
and there's only so many touches and reps we can get to certain players with one ball
I still wanting to see 4.3 speed tony pollard getting isolated vs LBs in single coverage or getting him quickly in the open field to spring him for big play splash plays.

That's a good question. If Jarwin comes back healthy I think there will be competition, but I could also see a situation where both involved quite a bit - maybe with the 2 of them combined getting about 900-1,000 yards and 6-7 TDs.
