Did Tanner play on Saturday Vs. the cards?

I remember Randle coming in after Dunbar but can not remember seeing Tanner.

He was quoted in an article as saying they didn't call his number the entire game, and the box score says he didn't have any carries. Stephens didn't play either, but I'll be darned if I can figure out what it means at this juncture. Too many variables and two more preseason games.

I think it means that we know what we got with him, and wanted to see our others RBs. He has run tough this preseason, I don't think this has gone unnoticed with the coaches.

With Dunbars injury he will probably get more carries but I'm not sure he makes the club. I'm not in favor going 4 deep at RB again this year. I think depth at safety or the oline or even getting Tanney on the 53 is very important. You can always pick up a stop gap RB during the season if you suffer a ton of injuries or they stash the other rookie or Tanner on the PS and call them up incase of injury. Like I said in another thread I think Frampton/Moore would play a bigger role on Gameday then Tanner and those are the players you need on the field.

We have to go 4 deep at rb. Murray, dunbar are locks. Randle was a draft pick who won't make it to PS. And tanner looks like a tank running the ball. I can't see us cutting any of the 4.
