Did the Cowboys O-line improve or are they just facing poorer defenses?

And you have to have the TALENT. Cannot make a silk purse out of a Pigs Ear.
We have some talent, we need to see if our rookies drop their BBs....if they do, we can make chicken salad outta chicken crap. I'll have you taste of sandwich of each and then you can share your wisdom.
What color is your purse? Just curious...

maybe make a nice coin purse out the pigs sack LMAO ....

Most of the issues with the fans not recognizing there is talent most players who make it to the NFL are very talented because there's a very small percentage that make it from high school to college and from college to the pros...

But they mistake talent for only being pro bowlers or hall of farmers they don't realize that these role players these guys playing really hard playing above expectations like giving it their all sometimes it's better than a pro bowler or Hall of Famer that's only giving you half effort or that are injured and can't play as well anymore...

I see a lot of upside with these new guys and by the way they're not all rookies some of our undrafted free agents and others along this offensive line that are doing pretty damn well imagine with a full training camp with some confidence they know they're starting... Most are short sighted and can't see that need to see guys it's like big time or they start calling them busts or Jags..

I think the bigger question here is can the coaches fit the best 5 along the offensive line right from the start of training camp...
I can see Beebee has bright future but is it at C or RG?? evaluate and get Hoffman and Beebee squared away in those 2 positions, Bas is a better fit at LG than right than he goes and gets hurt,,uggh,, Guyton ,im not giving up at LT but if so, maybe its Richards shot there or get a FA LT..Cut Steele? make Guyton RT..
So for the most part I think we have many players to choose from along the opposite line some I didn't even know we're on this team until recently to get the best 5 ^2 away without having to reach and go find one in the draft or even a free agent....

After weeks of struggles, the Cowboys offensive line seems to finally be putting things together. The beaten and bruised, mismatched and mangled unit appears to be playing their best ball of the season and it’s no coincidence it’s resulted a fair degree of team success along the way.

Through weeks 1-11, the Dallas rushing attack ranked in 17th success rate (39 percent) and 25th in EPA/play (-0.136). In the four weeks that followed they have been fourth in success rate (46.3 percent) and 13th in EPA/play (-0.069). It marks a significant improvement and explains why the Cowboys have gone 3-1 behind a quarterback who ranks just 25th in EPA/dropback + CPOE composite score (measures impact and accuracy).

The question at hand is has the Cowboys offensive line finally worked things out with their run blocking or is this just a result of playing poorer competition?

Is this a series question?

How was our running game last week?

I think its combination of both.

playing 21, 25,29 and 32nd ranked defenses helps, but also that we had 2 new starters on the line and more than any other position group, the OL needs to play as a unit. one single failure and its a sack or tackle in the backfield regardless of what the other 4 do..... and two rookies starting, not just two new ones.

so now they have had a chance to jell a little, get a little experience together. also as much as I love him and he is one of all time cowboys greats, Martin was the weakest point on the line. his injury was a blessing in disguise as we have seen a leap in OL play after he went on IR. not a coincedence.
I think the Tampa game was a good test of the interior. The Bucs don't have good outside pass rushers, so the game tells us little about our tackles, but the interior went up against their sacks leaders in Vea (6), Kancey (6.5) and David (5.5). Kancey did have half a sack against us, but we limited Vea to three tackles and one QB hit.

Answer your own questions tomorrow and next week.

Success is always a serious question. It takes technique, discipline learned over time, and leadership. That can be observed and followed.

Pay attention and not just scornfully. Be a fan.

When game plans start to be carried out as designed, things start working better.
When every play is audibled to a pass, it keeps the offensive line from developing continuity.
How do you make this stuff up,. Every play audible to a pass. And that keeps the line from having continuity. This is such baloney.

It could be both. Although the Bucs defensive 4 is damn solid, I was impressed by Beebes effort against Vita Vea.

The key is to not over annoint any of our players when the competition is ranked among the bottom 5 in the league.

Being frank and honest about our players performance doesn't make anybody a bad fan.....it just makes them real

When our O line was dominant in 2014 what did it consist of? Two future HOF players and one who might have gotten there.
THAT is what I mean. Steele was a good RT before his injury but he was a UDFA. Now he frankly is not a good starter. The edge in talent at the level we had you will not get from players all 32 teams did not deem worth of better draft picks.
Bass, Hoffman and Richards might make it as good starters but not likely to ever be more.
Guyton and Beebe and Smith are where the talent is for this O line. Can we fill in the other positions with good enough players to make this a top O line?

You never evaluate to demonstrated effort and organizational techniques long established. You immediately attack and insult.

There is a reason why Parcells shot for three years after drafting. There is a development and transition for all 'rooks. Talent can be developed with heart and good guidance.

You never give CREDIT for earning opportunities and the effect of time on the carpet. NEVER.

The first Johnson line all were unheard of and lower talents when brought together as All Pros. Fact.

Invest in generic Viagra if you are always missing something real...I know, that would just confuse your pessimism.

its really no place to answer.

every team wil say with experence we ve improved.

for DAllas we cant say, Does MM come back? Do we get a new Offensive line coach?

Can we say they improved or went backwards, sure, stats will tell you anything they want. Early on vs good teams they sucked, late in the season with good teams shutting down their teams to be healthy in the playoffs we can say look how we improved.

Either way we shouldnt be looking at that.

what we should be saying is , if the coaches return, how can the off season help the team? than look at FA and the draft, see who comes in and say ok here is where i think we can improve.

Now Personally, (i know the stat boys will say something) I prefer Bebee over Biadasz. I think this was a growing year for him and instead of worrying about stats, learn the position or if they put him back at guard or whereever, thats going to leave our center, not improved, which is fine , depending on who comes in.

This year should have been declared a throw away year, because it happened anyway and MM should have been saying, get the line experience and let them gel. if that was the case, basically bring back majority of the line and same coach and let the line improve in smaller parts to grow.

im not concerned with the first line, days like that are done, to me, depth is more important.
