Did the Detroit/Washington game sour you on Johnson and Glenn

BJ goes to LV, he will be there 2 years tops. He will get more than 1 year because you can’t go thru coaches like people changing underwear’s.

They also played one of the weakest schedules in the league this year. And not sure how many times they won on the last drive , as time was expiring, or on a flukey play you rarely or never see too. I remember 4 or 5 of those type games - so luck was on his side often this year too. You are so right, once you find your QB it makes things much easier.

After seeing our schedule for next year and looking like a first place schedule, wonder what the difference is between them and egirls schedules.

Did DQ's game against Green Bay sour you? We wanted McCarthy gone and DQ to be promoted to HC.

Not really but maybe a little more Johnson than Glenn because Johnson's offense did not have the excuse of multiple starter injuries that Glenn's defense did.

I think Johnson would not do as well here based on lack of personnel as compared to his stacked offense with the Lions.

Glenn might could do decently here with Parsons as his cornerstone but I am not sure if he would ultimately lower himself to be a yes man, Jerry Puppet Way of head coaching.
So he's probably not a genuine candidate.
Trick plays caught up with Johnson, there was no need to try the Jameson Williams pass that resulted in a key interception.
On defense, no excuse for Glenn's players to fail with pocket containment on 4th & 2, and all coaches failing to call a timeout on Commander 4th & 2 play.

nope.
i'd take either one here in a heart beat.
my preference is still aaron glenn.
one game changes nothing for me.

But he will head to Vegas
That would be a huge mistake to me..........no QB in a division where all three other teams have elite coaches AND QBS. Jags or Cowboys ( if offered) would his best job.

I thought Glenn called a good game but he ran into a young QB who was deadly accurate with his throws and did not get rattled by pressure. The Lions defense could not keep up with the Commanders determination to win the game. They had just too many injuries. I believe the Lions was missing 3 of 4 starting DL, including their best pass rusher, and they were missing a lot of their secondary. It makes a difference. Can we every forget how the Eagles exploited Andrew Booth when they faced Dallas
Exactly.......our defense isn't the same if we lose Parsons and Diggs/Bland

I really didn't understand the offensive play calling in that game. You have one of the strongest ground games in the NFL yet you want to come out passing and trying to cute with trick plays that just weren't needed. Why? On defense, I understand that a little more. They were absolutely decimated on that side. Coupled with the offense turning it over repeatedly...most teams will break eventually with that scenario. No excuse offensively though. It's like they didn't game plan at all.

Quinn is a good coach that looks like a hero because they hit big on Daniels in the draft. Literally drafted a generational talent at the most important position on the team.

Meanwhile, we will pay Dak 60 million per while Daniels is on a cheap rookie deal. Prepare to be unhappy for several more years.
Quinn is lucky for sure. But he is also took alot of Dallas rejects and turned them into productive and cheap players. Dante Fowler and Dorance Armstrong have 12 sacks between them.

Lions looked like they peaked early but I don’t want either of those coaches.
Jared Goff always chokes in the playoffs, and their defense was nonexistent. Washington is good, but they’re not that good.

I soured on Johnson, but I was never really high on him to begin with. But those trick plays he pulls out of his backside are not what I would want from a team with the best OL in football, and so much talent at the skill positions. And that is the thing. If that offense good because of Ben Johnson's scheme or play calling? Or because they have so many good players?
X 1,000,000

Johnson tried making that game about him instead of his players. It's almost like he was trying to convince everyone what a wizard he is and he finally got burned on the next to last INT.

He should have spent more time trying to figure out how to effectively attack that zone instead of seeing how many creative ways he could devise flea flickers

I thought his play calling was arrogant and to his benefit instead of his team. I wasn't that high on him before and after last night I'd rather have Witten than Ben Johnson

Agreed 100 %

I don’t see how either would be better for the Cowboys than Kellen. You guys don’t seem to under understand that three stooges run the team and Dak is still our quarterback for the forceable future.

It was never going to be either one. Can't be disappointed by reality.

It didn’t for Johnson. The team had 5 turnovers and that’s not really on him. Besides that the offense was still reasonably effective. The players on offense just didn’t execute. For Glenn it’s a bit different. I have never been high on him because the Lions’ defense just hasn’t been that great period. I do like how he has gotten a decimated squad to really scrap but when even when healthy I don’t think the defense has been that amazing. I think he needs more seasoning before he becomes a HC.

No, when it comes to the defense they really lost so many of their starters and you could see the effect. As the season wore on that they were giving up more and more points as the games went along.

On offense they have a QB that isn't really a whole lot better than Dak and he made some costly turnovers
