Elliot ??

They just gave their QB Bradford a bunch of money, they had been rumored to possibly take Elliot at 8 when they had that pick. Also, there have been rumors that Elliot could go to us at 4. Elliot has gotten good press as the real deal and a true difference maker. Did the Eagles actually want Elliot at 8 and but spooked at the prospect that we could take him ahead of them at 4 ? Eagles thinking Bradford is a decent QB with a Back like Elliot in the backfield with him ?

No they're trading up for Wentz or Goff. The GM pretty much confirmed it.

That's what I thought but they've confirmed that it will be a QB from reports.. Unless it's all a smokescreen.. Which then wouldn't make sense?

You do not spend that many resources to draft a rb, plus GM confirmed taking a QB.

Their GM said they'll take whichever QB is left after the Rams pick. It is a QB they're after.

Kind of amazing to me that they would make that move not actually knowing exactly which player it would net them.

They likely have a good idea.

But if you have both qbs in the same tier... I can see why they'd do it.

I don't agree, you are moving up 6 spots and giving away premium picks this year, next year and the year after that. You should definitely land who you want in that situation. It seems the Eagle fans are pretty peeved about it too.

I think chances are slim that they do not know who that pick will be. They traded with some confidence in whom they would be drafting as the differences between Goff and Wentz are really pronounced. This might be a real signal that the confidence in next year's QB class is very low. IMO that is not the case but it seems(in April 2016) like a couple of guys will be rated higher than this year's crop in the draft.

I don't see why...

"We're going to invest in quarterbacks," Roseman said, via NFL.com. "We had time as an organization to study: What are the keys to winning? What are the keys to being a championship caliber over a long period of time? ... It's quarterbacks. If you commit that you're going to invest in quarterbacks and you have people here who we think can teach quarterbacks as well as any in the National Football League, sometimes you have to put your money where your mouth is."

What is Roseman trying to say here? Why do these GMs have to be so mysterious? LOL.

 Remember last season when Bradford and Murray were so excited to be going to Philly together? Man did that change in a hurry!
