The offensive performance in the Superbowl, against a joke of a defense like New England's. There is only one logical conclusion. The Rams were paid to lose.

Explain then how ALL OF A SUDDEN New England can hold the best offense in the NFL to a field goal while allowing pathetic offenses like the Tennessee Titans to score over 30 pts??

This is obviously a Washington fan who rarely watches the rest of the league. This was a typical defensive genius Belichick game. The Pats were a top 7 defense in yards and points allowed this season. They put everything together and it was not shocking to expect.

Also, the Rams were not the best offense. Statistically that was KC this season. The true surprise is that Rams defense held up as long as it did. It was a defense that was highly inconsistent this season. When it did play well it was their offense putting opposing teams in one dimensional catch up mold that made things easier.

Yes, that's it! Even though the life expectancy for an NFL player is about 4 years and getting back to the SB is one of the most difficult things to do in sports (except for the Patriots), the Rams colluded to lay down for the team no one, including Goodell and his cronies, wanted to win. All this while full knowing they may not make it back any time soon.

Congrats!

The league wanted LA to win if anything, because if they get a title they might at least some bandwagon fans. LA was supposed to be a cash cow for the NFL, but as usual LA fans don't care about football in general and didn't turn out for the Rams or Chargers when they moved there.

As it stands they have no fans, and won't get any fans, because nothing short of a Lombardi would get them any interest. It's not like the Titans where just making it to a Super Bowl gets them a decade plus of fan excitement, the South loves football of any kind on a level that LA never ever ever will.

So the Chiefs were paid to not score in the first half, too?

And Philip Rivers?
