That's not what you said. You said "Plenty of evidence of an attempt to run the football." The Cowboys never made a concise effort to run the ball.

The first drive of the game was a 10 play drive resulting in a FG. The Cowboys ran only 3 times.

That also means after the first drive of the game they only ran 13 times the rest of the game! Ridiculous.
Yes, but, wasn't it said a couple of weeks ago that Rush can't win throwing 30+ times.
Whether we ignored the run, out of choice , design or inability to move the rock doesn't matter.
Flexibility has never been our catch word, too predictable.

I think there's something to that... along with young Guyton whose been replaced Edoga (sp?).

The OL seems to be holding up better giving Rush more time.
Beebe has improved a lot. Looks like we've hit on a guy, but the early games had growing pains. We're also not wasting snaps on Elliot anymore.

And Rush makes the oline look better by getting the ball out quicker.

I think that's fan talk. Most players don't think they are going when they are going. They think they are going to return to form and be the player this team needs. We assume too much evil with our players. And disparage our all-time greats.
I don't buy that he did not know it. Disparage him, well that's on him, he is the one who held out and then did not perform. Assume evil, no, but greed yes. I understand your limited career and all that but in the end you play for the fans so if you want to be perceived well, better protect your character perception.

16 actual rushing attempts is "plenty of evidence".

Like most teams the Bucs are dealing with injuries. They chose to shut down the Cowboys run game and make Rush beat them with his arm. Mission accomplished.
