In the full shot you can see the ref laughing at him and nodding his head, I'm guessing if they thought for a second Romo was legit trying to get away with pushing the spot of the ball forward they would have flagged him. However, he's pretty well known now for playing around with the refs.

Anybody else would have probably been flagged for delay of game, but it's Romo. Who doesn't love Romo? Oh that Romo!!

Jared Allen gestured that he wanted a flag after Romo did that. Kind of lucky no flag was thrown there.

The Cowboys were still marked short of the first down even after Romo moved the ball. I saw a longer version of the video where Jared Allen pushes Romo and yells at the refs to throw a flag. I think they knew Romo was just messing with them.

Jared Allen is actually friends with members of Romo's family. I remember reading something about that a few years ago.

I agree Romo was just messing around, but still, if he does that kind of stuff on a road game, he gets a flag.

He was smiling at the ref afterward and probably said something as well. But I could see the No Fun League taking offense.

If the refs didn't like him, they could call a delay of game penalty. I'd advise Romo to stop doing that.

What no one is mentioning is what lead up to that play. I believe we had 2nd and 1 followed by 3rd and 1 and we still didn't get the 1st down.
