Did this team accomplish their goal last week

I know we heard all week from them that they were not finished yet, but in reality, was winning a playoff game enough for them? Was it such a huge monkey off their backs that this week was such a let down?

Is Minn. really that much better than the Cowboys?

I'm still so baffled that this team's performance was so bad compared to the last 4 weeks. Minn has a great team, but I don't feel that the talent on the Vikings is a whole lot better than what we have. The Minn. OL had been getting totally abused the last 1/4 of the season, but yet we could not seem to get any consistent pressure on Favre. Minn. has a good DL, but it's not any better than what we've seen several times this year.

What else can explain this teams performance other than that they won their SB last week and had mentally packed it in already.

Maybe...who knows?

I say no. I just think the better team on Sunday, January 17th, 2010 won the game. I still maintain that we have the better team. It gives me night terrors to think about what could've been if we would've used Tashard Choice and Felix Jones carrying the ball more often to negate the pass rush.

Someone needs to sit Garrett down and explain to him that the freeze draw doesn't work against teams that don't blitz, too.

To be fair, Minnesota led the league in sacks for a reason. The bye week, I think, was also instrumental in giving some guys a rest an getting others healthy. To top it off Edwards had a career day, yesterday. It came at the best possible time, for them.

In hindsight, I don't think Colombo was up to the task at all yesterday. The injury to Flo would have made it a moot point, but I honestly think Free would have fared better on the right side. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it would have made a game changing difference, but if the Cowboys make a play or two early (when the game was still in hand) it could have been a different type of game.

I'm sure that they practiced hard last week, but you did see some moxie sneaking out after that 2nd Eagle victory. Whatever it was, these guys just didn't come out to play for the most part. Stupid mistakes, lack of recognition, lack of effort among some. I just don't buy the Viking superiority thing. We didn't adjust and we didn't fight hard enough.

I do wonder if they got a little complacent because they finally got the playoff win under their belts.

I'm not saying they didn't work hard, didn't try, or didn't want to win another one, I'm most certain they did, but I think when the game started to get rough, and out of hand, cause of the poor O-Line play I'm wondering if part of them didn't fight as hard as they might have had they not gotten that playoff win last week.

Only next season will tell, I guess.
