I do not think any of us except the biggest homers here thought Seattle was in the bag.

For the rest of us..we wanted to see if we were improved over the Atlanta game.

Got a lot of answers now.

Offense is league capable. Defense is vaporware.

Dak is playing well above expectations with another 400 yd. game.

Zeke is fine but he is going nowhere with 3 rookies on the OL

So where we are is if we had lost to Atlanta which we really should have..

we would be 0-3.

1-2 looks better especially when the two loses had us in those games to win with 2 minutes to play.

So that leaves us where we are.

Now what?

We need to get players back on the OL and take out the offense Big Mike wants to be installed.

The offense we have been seeing is the emergency version of that offense. We need to run the basic version and slow things down with the point totals.

The defense is missing too many players via injury. I am not sure there is enough time to get everybody healthy and get it fixed.

So now what?

As fans, we need to brace ourselves to these truths and judge the team accordingly.

Forget the playoffs.

Hate to say that in a year in which the entire league is in reaction to the social problems and health issues of our decade.

Its chaotic and some teams will take advantage, others not.

We are one of the nots. Tough to accept but this team is months behind those teams that have had stability in their teams.

They are much better equipped to handle things.

So I leave things up to you to tell me where we go from here and how you would fix things if you were Big Mike.

There are no right or wrong answers here. Only intelligent conversation.

Over to you guys.

I did. But even if we didn’t, I expected to keep it close. That was not a close game. The score was close, maybe, if you believe in that kind of stuff. By that, I mean Seattle literally handed us touchdowns in the 3rd/4th Q. They let off the gas to get us off guard. That was Seattle’s plan all along. Make Dallas trip over their own shoes.

but the difference between the two teams looms large. One is a contender, and one is a wanna be contender. Guess who’s who?

dallas made a magnitude of mistakes, as usual. From bad playcalling, to turning over the ball, to the defense playing bad, to Special teams somehow being even worse than the defense. Don’t forget to add in those suspicious ref calls. Dallas played sloppily, like they have in the last few weeks. And I don’t understand why they can’t get their act together. I understand, the coaching staff is new. But most of the players are the same. They should be used to each other by now.

Again, I will use this analogy. Dallas wants to sit at the adult table and order off the adult menu, but their eyes and dreams are bigger than their stomach. They can’t consume that food without growing up a bit. Becoming more mature and responsible. Dallas is a little sloppy kid that wants to play in the big leagues. But they aren’t there yet. Are they close? Maybe. But we still got a ways to go...

Wait...what? The game yesterday wasn't close?

Dallas gave that game away, more than Seattle won it.

no, it wasn’t. The box score might’ve been “close” (and even then, it was not), but Metcalf missed an easy in TD by being stupid and celebrating before the goal line. Then, Dallas played sloppily. I’m surprised we even scored 31 and they scored only 38, because from what I saw, it should’ve been a blowout. It was not close. Dallas has a LOT of work to do.

Again in a close game I go back and look at some very bad or one sided officiating. Not the reason we lost, but sure don’t help.

Dak with 3 turnovers. 1 was on Cooper, should have ran the route better and would have been a PI call. But he did well with the plays called.

MM again refuses to use the time outs. The first pick I mentioned Dak was forcing the ball because the clock was running and we had 3 time outs.

Moore on the drive with 7 minutes left and we are leading, wth were those deep shots, Elliot never got going but you still run the ball to at least keep them honest and make the other team use there time outs. Elliot could have very easily broke a long one, he was due for one.

We take the lead but just can’t put it away. When they took the lead I didn’t think we were going to be able to tie it. We had our chance and couldn’t run the clock off. MM said his game plan wasn’t to try to keep the ball away from wilson, he wanted a shoot out. He got it and the seahags didn’t what they have been doing.

Going in I didn’t expect to win but as the game went in they made me believe we could do it. But our Defense is to sketchy. We stopped wilson and got sacks. But gave up huge plays, if Diggs don’t knock that ball out we lose by 2 TDs.

Fans need to get over this we should be 0-3 crap. We could easily be 3-0 as well.

Refs screw us on the Rams game Gallup OPI. Oh, wait sorry I was told by some goofball poster or 2, I am not allowed to whine about the refs as the refs are always right, we never get screwed.

We had some luck to beat the Falcons, well guess what that is the way the ball bounces at times. In this case it was a spin.

Dump mistakes by pollard, and some stupid play calls from Moore at the wrong time. Dak's INT at the end of the 1st half, and stupid penalties on the defense, as well as the offense lost a close game in Seattle.

They have a lot to work on to to clean up. see where they go from there. Still early in the season yet.

we will recover and have good season... a lot of time and i see a ot of good things.. 13 left long season plenty of time..

Here's the problem.

Based on how the game went, we should have won if we played better. That's the point. Trying to justify how we lost and the fact we lost with the canard that we were supposed to lose anyway missed the larger point here and that is, to start the season we have been mistake prone, been stupid and have a defense that really is pretty much hot garbage at this point. Now we might clean up the stupid penalties on offense and the turnovers and the special teams, but the defense? That's scary how bad they are.

I take no solace in the belief, hey, it's OK, we should have lost to Seattle anyway.

The Rams game may still have been a loss even if they gave us the Gallup play.

its the cowboys, the fan base expects to win every game....

but i think the fact that we almost pulled it out is a very good sign for this team.

You could literally use that any time you wanted to, for either side.

We gifted the Seahawks 9+ points with brain fart Pollard and the Dak INT.

so take 9 points away from the Seahawks, we win. It’s easy to discount scores/plays, but they all happened.

The game was close

I'm actually encouraged. With all the injuries and Seattle being a good team, I think we did good.

I keep my expectations at arms length, as long as we have amateurs sitting in the front office doing business.

Those who do differently seem to suffer on a regular basis. I enjoy these games despite this staff's difficulties.

I think it will probably take this year and perhaps another one before this staff puts it all together. It takes time.

What we're seeing currently is a team in a transition from the previous staff that were in power for far too long.

Forget the playoffs. Man our fans are so damn how do I put this nicely, UN-knowledgeable? I realize the human race is slowly becoming a little more dense, but a lot of them are Cowboy fans I believe.

We are in the NFC East and in 1st place in a division that 7 wins probably makes the playoffs. We are by far the best team in the division. Forget the playoffs. So dumb.

I think idiotic is a better word....just my opinion, but I may be un-knowledgeable.

What I wanted to said is no longer politically correct and I'm trying to work on being more politically correct in case one day I decide to run for office. Can't have what I said on a message board being the reason I lose.
