Did we make a mistake by not drafting Kolby Listenbee?

For a team that lacks speed on offense, I can't help but feel like we've put ourselves in poor position to really make the best use of our investments on offense.

****video deleted due to language****

Not in love with the way he catches the ball, but his speed is ridiculous. It's an element that I think we set this offense off. And even if he doesn't turn into a great receiver, I think he would fit a role that we desperately needed here.

I just really wish we had a guy that could stretch the middle of the field deep.

Before we start making threads about every person we might question about making a mistake about not drafting....just ask an answer in this thread now. We will call it the spilled milk thread.

Did we make a mistake by not drafting (insert name here)?

Now...

Wide receiver Rodney "Lucky" Whitehead (5-9 1/2, 174) ran the 40 in 4.41 and 4.37 seconds. He had a 36-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-1 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.18 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.89 seconds. Whitehead had 20 strength lifts. Whitehead caught the ball well in the positional drills and he could be a priority free-agent acquisition for a team following the draft.

In addition to Lucky...Butler is another guy with speed (and he also has good size).

At 6-3/215, Butler ran in the 4.39 range at his pro day. He also posted a 10'9" broad jump, 6.70 3 cone, and a 39" vertical.

I honestly don't think the guy could run a dig route w/o rounding off his break 7 yards deep....His change of direction is that poor:rolleyes:

In that clip...he runs 2 routes....And only 2... A fly pattern...and deep posts. Honestly...does he even know what a route tree is?

Hint...It's not this:rolleyes:

From the 4th round on I was hoping we'd take him with each of our next picks. Loved him in college and we really could've used his speed for sure.

From what I interpreted from Broaddus he was on their radar in the 6th round.

They had CB Anthony Brown with a 4th round grade so I would assume that he was much higher on their board than Listenbee who was thought to be a 6th round type. Probably would have got him had he fallen to the later 3 picks in that round.

I think Vince Mayle may make everyone forget about not drafting a WR.

(I think your video violates language rules)

Man, that Rodney guy sounds great- wish we had him. Rue, rue, rue.

When will the Cowboys try to get better on offense? LOL.

Is he even capable of breaking a tackle? Looked like Witten, smack his leg, and he'll be falling.
