wow, what a freudian slip...that did not seem like an accident at all..coon from king? naw man

Maybe The Irving show Will become a new national show
What in the blue hell is the Irving Show?

Greenberg is going to be in for a serious storm for that one. I met him and Golic at the 2006 NFL Draft. Nice guy. I hate this kind of stuff because no matter how sorry someone is they won't be forgiven by some. He's a dolt for saying it.

I can't fathom him doing that on purpose even remotely. He's way too smart a guy and knows full well what kind of trouble he'd be in.

Much ado about nothing.

They started talking about it on the Irvin Radio show (Deion Sanders is a guest on the show today). I only caught the first couple of minutes and then I had to answer an email and missed a few minutes. THey are on commercial break now so I imagine they will continue the discussion in a few minutes.

One of the guys on the show did say that Greeny already issued an apology.

Hes human, geez. The "Lu" in Luther hurt him.

Just like the news anchors slip up(They usually end up saying rooster)

Coon and King dont sound alike to mistake it..and even if he did, it would have been a stutter or something to indicate that he didn't do that on purpose like a shocked face or embarrasment of something like that one fox reporter who actually said something in accident, but greenberg said it so seamlessly without a pause, and just kept it moving...Sounds more to me like someone bet him on the set to see if he could get away from it

Well I'm at work on a computer today that has no sound so I couldn't listen to it but if I'm following this thread correctly what you're all saying is that instead of Martin Luther King he called him coon?

I'd like to believe that was just an honest mistake but...geez. How do you mistake the word coon for king?

yep...I was shocked too..I would have believed it was a mistake had it not been the manner in which he said it and the fact that he said coon instead of kind

There's no way that was intentional... not even on a "freudian slip" kind of level.

Greeny is a complete pansy. He's the epitome of a milquetoast, metrosexual, non-offensive liberal. There's no way he would say something like that on purpose, even as a joke.

he could have been reading as he was talking, he could have been doing anything.

What motivation does he have to really say that

I agree. I can't even remotely imagine "Greenie" going there. I bet even in his youth he never called anyone that.

It's rather amusing to me that you'd take that stance, yet this is no big deal to you?

All of this is true as well. I don't think it's even in his make-up :)eek: ) to go there. And if he ever did slur someone, it would be a more modern, trendy version of a slur. :p:

I hate Greenberg, he is the stereotypical beanpole who never played a sport that diddnt involve a raquet or a club.

The quicker he gets out of the national spotlight, the better for us all.

Go git um Jesse White, do us all a favor.
