Did you know that Bill Parcells was drafted with the very next pick after Bob Hayes?

Hayes was selected in the 7th round with the 88th pick and Parcells was selected with the next pick by the Lions, although he was cut before ever playing a down in the NFL.

Just thought it was kinda cool.

Very interesting bit of trivia.

I also believe they called that portion of the draft the nickname portion.

I just happened across it while doing some draft research. Right under Hayes, I went hey! Is that really Bill Parcells? Sure enough it was.

thats why i never really thought alot of him as a head coach, if he didnt have the you know what to play in the NFL? How in the world would you really respect him as a head coach.

That loud-mouthed, gap-toothed pansy! :D

There have been some great coaches who played in the NFL and some who didn't.

Some who played:
Tom Landry
Don Shula
George Halas
Chuck Noll

Some who didn't:
Paul Brown
Vince Lombardi
Marv Levy
Bill Walsh

I don't think it matters in the end whether or not the guy played in the NFL but that he knows what he is doing.

did you know you can get your T.O. disrespecting the star t-shirts?
