David Buehler is the career leader among Cowboy kickers with 49 touchbacks?

Through 14 games the Cowboys have 26 takeaways, (17 int and 9 fumble recoveries). They have converted those into 13 TD's and 6 FG's for a total of 110 points. That ranks SECOND in the league, behind only New England (112)?

DeMarcus Ware has at least 10 sacks for 5 straight seasons, the only player currently in the league with a 5 year streak ?

Ware is just the third linebacker to have five straight seasons with double-digit sacks. Lawrence Taylor had a streak of seven seasons, and Simon Fletcher also had a streak of five.

If Ware gets 11 or more sacks next season, he'll become just the third player at any position to have at least 11 sacks in six straight seasons. He would join Lawrence Taylor (six straight) and Reggie White (nine straight) as the only players to have done it.

Simon Fletcher.. im getting old.:(

Didn't he play DE though?

Interestingly enough, Ware also shares another record with Fletch, for most consecutive games with a sack, i believe. 10 games.

'Man's flight through life is powered by the strength of his knowledge'...not sequences of calendar pages. AdamsJT13 already has a firm grasp of this principal of articulation and relevance to a specified set of restrictive criteria.

But the slectivity of even this inclusive group would indicate a quality in play rarely equaled in the NFL.

Also a good inclusion with Buehler. I am glad he wasn't pressed to equal a departure reoutine that Folk had and the mental state he left with. Technique flaws will improve with strength of his performances. Where he has top level talent, it will affect his field goal kicking as well...given time and progession linkage.

Nice, sometimes we just take it for granted how good he is.

I have seen a lot of great pass rushers in my time. I have never seen one who can cover and break up the rtun like DeMarcus can. He is the most well rounded guy at his position I have ever seen, and that includes Lawrence Taylor. I think Taylor was better overall, but Ware is in rare air.

not me. I know damn well how lucky we are to have a guy like ware out there everyweek.

Ware, witten and romo should never be taken for granted. Absolutely fantastic players.

Good or bad I will never forget getting to see these guys play live their whole careers.

this.

"best ever" is a tricky term. it's hard to imagine ware rivaling reggie white for the title of "best pass rusher ever", for example, because reggie was so dominant for so long. but ware is definitely making a case for the title "most complete defensive player ever". five more seasons like the last five ought to do it.

It sucks when theres such a resounding ***-whooping as Ware > Merriman and theres no real way to get any commupons

No bumping old threads.

First off Dallas is ruining their chances with Demarcus Ware because of Jerry Jones. It's sad to watch such a great career go virtually unoticed because of the surrounding cast, including players and Coaches.

...and Bueller still isn't consistant enough at field goals enough to be considered a reliable NFL kicker.

I thought it was Simeon Rice, not Fletcher????

Simeon rice was DE , who also has 5 consecutive years of 10 + sacks ( he had 8 years but with breaks in between a 5 year streak )

Well I didn't know Simon Fletcher , thx Superpunk !

Our newfound propensity to create to's and turn them into points is refreshing! I'm shocked to see we're second in the NFL as far as pts off to's are concerned. Too bad we couldn't start the season off that way...

He did it as a linebacker, then switched to defensive end at the end of his career.

Funny, he played the same position and for the same coach as Ware. ;)

Really!!! I coulda sworn everytime I watch a cowboys game all the game callers, media etc are considering him the best pass rusher/ defender in the game....

That's odd
