Did Zeke have any room to run?

I haven't watched the All 22 tape but from my observation I didn't see any missed cutting opportunities for Zeke.
He seemed to be corralled all night by the Vikings D.
He basically got all that he could out of most of the runs.
The Oline didn't seem to do him many favors too.

Looked that way to me too. In that situation, they have to pass more and use Zeke to keep them honest by running straight dives up the middle. If they happen to break a hole open and he gets 8 or 9 yards great. But clearly none of that slow developing stuff or outside stuff was going to work and Zeke isn;t fast enough to execute that anymore anyway.

I will be curious to see what Elliott does this off season. I don;t know if his slowness if his weight or just the pounding he has taken over his first couple of years but he needs to get quicker and faster or we have a serious problem on our hands.

That’s what everyone with a little bit of common sense has been saying. The O-line wasn’t really that great last night. The pass rush blocking was okay, but they literally got no holes open for Zeke. The Vikings D line has top DE’s and LB’s that actually tackle. Plus Mike Zimmer is very smart and level headed. Zeke could’ve been a tiny bit better, but they were focused on selling out the run. That was their one and only priority. And they did it.

If we used the passing game more and even did more screens with Zeke, we would have won. Sadly, our coaching staff is very inept.

We have to remember what a great defensive coach Zimmer is and he does have a very good one. I'm not that familiar with them since I hardly ever watch them play but Zimmer always believed "speed kills" and liked fast players, it's always hard to catch a corner on his D. Doesn't explain why the Cowboys couldn't at least bull it up the gut though. Just an overall weak effort by the front line.

Same could be said for the O-line. The amount they’re getting paid, there should always be holes.

3 of them are all-pro, there are still 2 others. 2 offensive lineman playing poorly can throw everything off.

But I don’t want to hear any excuses that Dak couldn’t have gotten more than a 6 yard run yesterday. You get paid like the best, make some freakin’ plays. The best of the best don’t need to make excuses after a game.

Our supposed best, or one of the best Olines in the NFL never left NY from last week. We got whipped up front. But that’s what a good defensive front will do, something the Cowboys have yet to figure out.

It definitely tightened as the game went on but he has left a LOT of meat on the bone this year. A LOT.

This was my concern before shelling out this contract to him...

If Zeke or any player is having a bad day at the office you play to your other strengths.

That's what real coaches see as the game progresses and they make the required adjustments.

The process however does not allow for that variable.

That's just nonsense. So when Dak is one of the highest paid QB's in the league next year, should every pass be completed too? Nonsense.

Once Dak is “the highest paid” in the league, I expect him to always be making the right reads and being consistent.

Zeke’s longest run was 6 yards last night. What’s his longest run on the year? I’ll wait

Well he's not going to always make the right reads so get ready for disappointment. You don't have to wait, look it up.

Vikings DL are coached to cover backside gaps, once they feel the OL head cross the play side shoulder

It's a thing of beauty

Frederick was PISSED
