I was just wondering if anyone knew how the workout with Aaron Ross went???

It went well. We ran some sprints, did some sets of bicep curls and drank some wheat grass juice. He then stole my wallet.

Hope that was what you were looking for.

very funny ;)

I too am curious as to how it went.

I'm not really sold on him at #22, but we could do worse. He's a bit older than normal for prospects (24), but the last old CB we took seemed to have done well for himself.

Of course, Newman was elite; Ross isn't.

I'm going to ruffle the Aggie feathers and compare Ross to Kevin Smith, worthy of a late first round pick, a solid physical player that teeters on a pro bowl birth but may or may not receive the honor.

Not spectacular but a solid pick and starter.

Did I just compare a Longhorn to an Aggie? I wonder which side will be offended first.

Question for you, this one coming from an avowed Horns fan:

If Ross and Griffin are so good, first round talents, and Tarell Brown is also considered a first day draft pick, how come the Horns' pass defense was so lousy last year?? Why did Ross gave up so many completions??

I want to like any draft prospect that comes out of Austin, but I'm not overly excited by the Horns' DB prospects this year...

Ross is worthy of a little benefit of the doubt, trust me I am no Longhorn apologist in fact I'm apathetic to them, I suspect he and much of the UT roster and coaching staff for that matter suffered from National Championship hangover.

That isn't a good for an athlete to create such an excuse but it showed in their play, they played like they had little to prove and everyone else played them tough wanting to best the defending champion.

I'm willing to bet that Ross isn't Quinten Jammer's twin and that he will be solid if not spectacular as a pro.

That dude has to be the ugliest, most feminine male college bball player in history.
