Didn't realize until just now, but..

If we win next week and the Giants lose this week or next week we clinch a playoff spot. Win out and the Eagles lose once we clinch something a little more important than a playoff spot.

I still want that division title because we get that one playoff game at home. We just need to stay one game behind Philly until that final game and then beat them. I want that game badly because of what the Eagles did to us last year.

Yeah, EVERY team in the NFC who is in contention for a playoff spot had this one counted as an "L" for us. I guarantee you the Giants in particular are not happy as they would have controlled their own destiny if we had lost. Now, if the Skins beat the Giants we get in by only winning one of our last two.

Since we play them in two weeks, if we win out, we will give the Evils a loss, so we don't have to worry about what they do.

We don't need the eagles to lose to anybody else at all if we win out, because we play them the last game.

If we do make the playoffs, it would be wise to hope we don't play the Saints again. This game will undoubtedly leave a bitter taste in their mouths and they will want to slap us around, much like the Giants in 2007.

Hopefully it will end up:

1. Saints
2. Vikings
3. Cowboys
4. Cardinals
5. Packers
6. Eagles

That way, we potentially wouldn't have to meet the Saints until the conference championship, giving the Cardinals or Packers a chance to knock them off.

I would rather be an underdog against Minny than push my luck against New Orleans.

The team just needs to focus on winning out. Don't worry about what anyone else is doing, don't worry about what happens if this happens to this team or that happens to that team over there.

Just win out and head into the playoffs with a whole lot going for you.

If we win out, don't we win the division regardless of what Philly does? Even if they win the next two, If we win out (beating them in the last game), we would both be 11-5 and we own the tiebreaker over them, right?

So basically Giants lose to the Skins it is over for them. I don't see us losing out the way Romo is playing.

it would probably be easier to go to Arizona than play Philly two weeks in a row.

I disagree. I want nothing to do with NFC East teams in the playoffs. Crazy as it sounds id almost rather go on the road vs a team like Arizona then play Philly or the Giants @ home.

Correct. Winning out assures us all of it. 11-5, division title, home game in the playoffs.

I agree, but we would need to end up in the #5 spot, which means we would need to beat out Green Bay for the top wildcard spot...which means we would have to lose to Philly and Green Bay would have to lose all 3 games and end up at 9-7 (since they own the tiebreaker vs us)

I think that's all correct.

I am kind of hoping we get the 3rd seed and the Packers get the 6th seed. I want them in our house for some revenge. I also don't care about playing the Saints again we can beat them and they know it. Heck they probably don't want to see us again then the other way around. Also I can see the saints losing that first playoff game because they are going to have to play one of these 4 teams in their first playoff game: Cards, Cowboys, Packers, Eagles. All very good offenses and pretty good defenses that can give them all kinds of problems.

I'd rather play GB too. Green Bay would need to lose at least one more game (probably Pittsburgh or Arizona) considering Philly would lose Week 17 to us. I'm not sure about tiebreakers. Green Bay might need to lose both of those to fall below Philly.

im not liking the looks of having to play philly back to back possibly to end the season and start the play offs...I hate playing a team 3 times a year.
