exactly !
and doing same thing year after year and expecting different results is kinda stupid, and I am talking about fans, not jones boys.
put down the koolaid and learn to enjoy whole nfl not just 1 team.
You can't project your thought processes on to others. That's irrational. Some people like pineapple on pizza and others think it's gross. Never the twain shall meet.

Didn't end well for us. I just pulled the plug.

I was done, defeated, and mentally exhausted more then anything.

....but ready for training camp again.

Hoping Martin, Tank, Hilton, Tyron, etc can get the ring this year.

Only thing you missed was the Eagles choking away the SB aside from that you didn’t miss much.

That’s your loss. There was some very good football played. You shouldn’t let some clueless wing nut take that away from you.
What good football was played? I found it rather boring honestly…..maybe by hate for the Eagles clouded it. I did not enjoy watching the NFC for sure.

I am happy for you, but I just don't enjoy a game unless I have an emotional investment in the outcome.
That's just me.
Glad others can enjoy the games.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
4 words: adopt a backup team. Go Lions and Chargers!
Easy to do for some, hard to do for others.
Could depend where you are from and where you grew up at.

In Ohio, I started as a Cowboys fan. My brothers liked the Browns. When the Bengals started 2 of them switched to the Bengals, as we lived much closer to Cincinnati, and of course were / are Reds fans. My other brother still likes the Browns.
I liked the Bengals as well, and still do, but even back then it was Cowboys first. Living in the DFW area now, I will still pull for the Reds, but also like the Rangers to do well.
Though I been here 25 years, I can't adapt to rooting for all the Texas teams, pro or college. Just depends at times. I like to see them do well, but doesn't bother me if they don't.

So if someone grows up near another team, it could be easy to pull for that team at times. Or if not, one can just choose to root for the underdogs.

Agreed there are different ways to go about it - find an underdog, a good story, likeable person, etc.

That’s a shame……you missed out on professionally run organizations playing football at the highest level

if one sticks to watching only cowboys games, one is relegated to inconsistent sloppy football

Go watch minor league hockey if it’s in your area. Low priced tickets to watch players giving 110% to move up to the higher ranks. Best bang for your buck and a great way to spend a fun evening with crazy fans

Well we all have different background as far as football goes.
As a kid, I was a fan of other teams, like oakland when john madden was HC ,Lamonica years, and Stabler years.
I liked the jets when Namath was qb. I liked the chargers and KC too. Oh and Oilers too!
I was a AFL fan as they passed more, and threw the "bomb" alot.

The only NFL team I liked was the Cowboys as I lived in the area, and I liked their helmet and uniform
Started being a fan in like 66 right as they became a contender.
I was also a Rams fan when roman gabriel was the qb.

So I started out liking a lot of teams, but gradually wound up just being a cowboy fan.
I quit watching nfl in 80, even cowboys, and got back into it in late 80's and then cowboys when Jimmy took over.
I liked the parcell giants team, and followed them.
Didnt watch many SB's as didnt have a interest in the teams that got there.

But by 2000 I started losing interest in cowboys, and started following other teams again, and watching all playoff games I could and
The SB no matter who was playing.
I became more interested in why teams won or lost , and the game itself.
Jerry wore me out with JG years, and his overall mgmt of cowboys, so went from a diehard fan to ho hum fan.

true, parcells got the cowboys back on track, and gave us Romo.
Tony made cowboys games fun again, bad coaches after parcels ruined a chance at a SB run during his early and ending years.
I blame jerry for that.
Dak was ok at first, but quickly became boring to watch. and bad coaches have continued on, again jerrys fault.

Thanks for sharing your background.
I became a Cowboys fan in 1975 due to the strong Christian beliefs of Landry and Roger Staubach.
I am a loyal person so I have stuck with them even with Jerry's mismanagement of the team.

Did not watch much of either as well.
Really, it's the Cowboys or nothing for me.
Watched the last 5 minutes of the SB to see who won and was delighted the Shegals lost.
I watched the Super Bowl. It was a pretty good game. after football I get engrossed in NCAA Basketball. It's Championship Week ! The Acc Tourney is the best. Big 12, Big ten Big East. I even got to enjoy some Pac 10 and some Mid Majors

I like the NBA but I really enjoy NCAA Basketball. It's good to see someone play for the love of the Game as well as the future stars. By the time NCAA Final Four rolls around That takes care of March. Then the NBA Final and the Draft takes

care of April and May and half of June then you got mlb an other assorted sports to keep you occupied until WHAM! TC starts. Just an all round sports year in the life of an used to Gym Rat !!!!!!!

Yep, I'm a football fan. It was a good one and Chris Stapleton's version of the National anthem was up there all time.
