Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both will probably make the Playoffs.

I'm sure Ill get hammered on this thread but so be it .
I told myself last year that this year I would not get too high or too low during the season.
Every season I get nauseated on Game days, and when we lose, well, don't even talk to me.

Not this year. After going 13-3 and everyone having us in the SB ,(just like this year I may add) I refuse to get overly excited about the regular season until we can win a Play off Game.

Some here live for this form and I know this post may rub some the wrong way ,and if so ,I'm sorry ,but Last year hurt pretty bad especially when the Team I dislike the most of all won it all knowing we had a more talented team.

I'll post and have a good time with you guys here and hopefully not pi$$ too many off ,but I refuse to get upset and kick the dog when the Boys screw the pooch on game Day.

How can you not be excited about this team? Im not buying it either.

I start off every year saying I am not going to live and die with every game.
Then the games start and all that reasoning goes out the window.
I usually scare the daylights out of the dog during the first Philly game.

the way NYG and WASH played, 10-6 might be good enough to win the division

Got no problem with that but the number one seed is a big deal. So I hope they get that but I agree with the overall tone.

You're right in that this current collection of players cannot prove anything until the postseason. A team like Cleveland can make a statement and consider it a successful season winning its division. Washington would take a giant step forward winning 13 games, regardless of their postseason play. Houston would be ecstatic with nine wins.

But nothing in the regular season can prove anything for this franchise after what happened last year.

With that said, it's silly to discount the regular season. The difference between 10 and 13 wins could be playing at home throughout the playoffs or traveling to a snowy Chicago, Green Bay, Philly...whatever...field.

Sure, home field didn't do anything for us last year. But that doesn't mean I want my team traveling throughout the playoffs just because last year's team couldn't deliver at home. I'd much rather take my chances at home.

this organization had never won 13 games before last year....that is how HARD that is to do...think about it? The most succesful franchise in the Super Bowl era had never won 13 games....so I do not EXPECT that.

We are a 11 - 5 outfit. With some lucky bounces we could be 12 - 4...with some unlucky bounces we could go 10 - 6. But none of it will matter....San Diego went 14 - 2 two years ago and did not win a playoff game. Last year there regular season record was not as good but they went to the AFC title game. I think our season will play out in similar fashion

home field advantage and a first round bye is a big difference IMO.

No doubt. Our actual record DOES matter. That's the rules for now. We need to win as many games as possible - ONE game at a time.

A playoff win at Texas stadium to send it off would be nice, I think thats a difference.

is this one of those trick questions that you find on IQ tests?

the difference between 13-3 & 10-6......hmmm....

my answer is 3.....am I right?

I believe so :laugh2::)

Well, when you think about it, we very well could have been a 10-6 team last year. We probably should have lost at Detroit and Buffalo and that 1st Commanders game was a close one. A 10-6 record this year wouldn't shock me.

Yeah, just look at last year. Wait a minute.........:D

Whatever team is the hottest come playoff time, that's what matters.

In retrospect, ACTUALLY losing those games may have been better for us. Winning division and HFA didnt work.

I hope we get some real buttwhipping's this year. Keep this team honest and always hungry.

yea thats a great precursor I wonder how many teams won the superbowl while being the wild card.

Romo says the fun part is the journey. And i agree. It’s fun getting excited. It’s fun thinking about this years team. Last season was a blast. So many good games, lots of wins and great plays. I think to go through this new season with the mentality of just wanting to fast forward to an outcome you can get excited about, you will miss out on the journey. And if the Cowboys should fall short...we will have next season to get excited about. Such is the life of a true fan.

thats the truth people that only want to root or be excited during the playoffs seems a lil front runnerish to me.
