Difference between informal and formal interview?

Formal i'm assuming they're setup, informal, what are they doing walking past a player and whispering they have interest???

Formal is an actual sit down meeting with a player / coaches or scouts in a room. Informal could be walking by someone after drills and giving them a high five.

Formal basically is with someone you are really interested in
