You can’t take guys from other teams just because you want them.
Those 2 are not going anywhere.
Agreed. However, 1 was on the chopping block all of last year, and 2 was running in the Cowboys locker room asking to come to Dallas.

Seattle
1. 8 man box to stop the run with single high safety
2. corners plays a lot of bump and run
3. big run-stuff 1-tech
4. wide-9 DE
5. aggressive SLB passrushing (at least in atlanta version of seattle D)

A lot to like

Questions
1. awuzie is big enough to play this, but jordan and brown?
2. jones has a role/fit?
3. who else beyond injury-prone tapper has the speed to play wide-9?
4. are we going to get a large 1-tech?
5. do we have a SLB pass rusher? jaylon?
Do we have a single high safety?

You should retitle this to the defense you want to see as opposed to Seattle's.

Seattle plays a lot of cover 3 with a true SS; Chancellor plays 10 yards off the los not in the box in their base.

They play off more than press because in cover 3 can spell disaster outside if the jam is missed.

They do like a big NT but Avril nor Bennett play wide like that. Neither does Atlanta or Minnesota. Wide 9 and a 1 gap scheme is a good way to give huge creases in the B gap.

They blitzed the SAM alot when they had Bruce Irvin. They stopped doing it so much when he left.

That last bit is what you do not seem to get. The one size fits all approach is untenable.

1) All those corners can play zone.
2) Jones is a crossroads. PErsonally I would move him to corner.
3) Wide 9 is a gimmick that being said all our DE can play it. Speed to power moves work out of that alignment too.
4) Doubt it.
5) Jaylon can rush extremely well for a LB.

Pass D sure seemed better down the stretch when he wasn't playing as much. The dude is trash at safety and isn't a corner. He has no instincts and is about as passive as possible. It's time to move on.

x didn't realize that Jones' snaps were being diminished until I showed him the snap counts. Given his history I expect he is back to pretending like he has never seen them so he can continue with whatever narrative he ahs going.

He still played 70 percent of the snaps after tgey started using Frazier on run downs.

Jones was rarely off the field when the offense passed.

Oh, it must just be because he's never near the ball because of his complete lack of instincts or aggressiveness.
