Something brought up to me that I thought was very interesting.

As nice as it would have been to add NA, especially with his familiarity with our new defense, think about it from this point of view:

Rob Ryan knows NA. He knows his strengths, but possibly just as important- he knows his weaknesses.

We know Garrett is big on self-scouting and had the defensive staff breakdown our 2010 offense this offseason.

I could definitely see Ryan playing a big role in our offensive gameplan against the Eagles this year in terms of attacking NA's weaknesses.

That’s like saying Wade Phillips knows the weaknesses of Demarcus Ware and could exploit them. Good luck with that.

We have the offensive weapons to exploit any defense in the league, we need a solid defense and good special teams play to be successful.

People are acting like the Eagles have no holes all of a sudden. Nnamdi is a really good corner but he isnt Deion.

All that does not matter. the Eagles have better players and are a better team. that's the bottom line. it is time to face the facts.

This.

The Eagles defense was an atrocity last year.

The Eagles defense will never be as dominant as it was when Jim Johnson was coaching them, ever.

Touché! But we don't play Houston :)

Just run the ball right up the middle. Their D-Line is nothing to write home about with the exception of Trent Cole. And even he often overpursues. Their LB corps is atrocious. Our RB's can consistently hit the second level running on the Eagles.

I see it as people are acting like they have fewer holes on an already strong team.

They still have holes. Despite the addition of Babin, their lines, both sides, need some help. Their linebackers in particular continue to be a horrorshow.

But they are mimizing the effect by flooding the roster with high level talent and above all else, speed. I have little question they are the fastest team in the division now. They will be a fast break finesse team, much like the old 49ers. They will score early, get the lead and force teams to play mistake free football the rest of the way.

The best hope we have is that Castillo coaches like the novice he appears to be. McDermott's weaknesses were why we swept the Eagles two years ago and even ran with them last year. It is simple, Garrett has to beat them with just as much firepower. It is going to be hard to do if we don't correct the offensive line. The Eagles are going to dare teams to pass and should have success. I don't know if that is Super Bowl success, but more than enough to take the division.

Not worried if our two star WR's stay healthy. Everyone seem to forget that DRC is one the other side and is a big liability. I promise by game 4-5 the Eagles fans will have turned on him and he will be feeling the heat.

He may have been last year but in 2009 he played WELL. Right up there with Jenkins.

If Romo can get some decent pass protection and Dez stays healthy, then I predict Dez will have his two best games against the Eagles.

Not to mention, it looks like Asante is on his way out, via trade or otherwise. So, wouldn't Nnamdi just slide in that spot? It'd be a replacement for a very good DB - not adding another.

Teams will be running on their DL and throwing screens to the RB and WRs. Their front 7 has issues and smart teams will exploit it.

And then teams got film on him and worked him over. Could be the same with Jenkins but no one is claiming we have a dream team or have to trophy in the bank.

Teams did not know how to attack him. Now they do. Plus the real deal is that you run to his side because he will not come up and make tackles. He has trouble shedding blockers. He is not physical, can't handle big WR's. He has great closing speed and can sometimes jump routes but is prone to bite on the double move. He is not a team player and is pretty much un-coachble (from what I hear in AZ).

You make Aso cover Miles and let DRC try to cover Dez, which is a huge mismatch in our favor. As usual the Eagles have no one to cover Witten.

Why you scared?

Not buying it.

I'd say both of these guys got complacent. Don't think that will be an issue for either of them this year.

DRC started off bad and got hurt (some say he did it too himself by playing scared). He is coming off a knee injury.

Possibly, but as we all know things change in the NFL quickly. You never really know what you have til the season starts, a strength can become a big hole over night.

You want a different perspective here it is

Rumor is Eagles will trade Samuel

Samuel graded out as the best CB in the NFL last year..even if Nnamdi is more consistent/better it isnt by that much where the eagles are unbeatable..if they do trade Asante I will feel a lot better
