CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I will be doing a couple of the fan speak mocks but they will be done differently than normal.

For this first one, I will be picking for A different team and after the whole mock is done I will see who the computer picked for the Cowboys and post it below...

4: R1P4

S JALEN RAMSEY
FLORIDA STATE
34: R2P3

DT VERNON BUTLER
LOUISIANA TECH
67: R3P4

RB DERRICK HENRY
ALABAMA
102: R4P3

CB ERIC MURRAY
MINNESOTA
136: R4P37

OLB TRAVIS FEENEY
WASHINGTON
190: R6P14

WR JAYDON MICKENS
WASHINGTON
213: R6P37

QB CODY KESSLER
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
217: R6P41

DE ANTHONY ZETTEL
PENN STATE
218: R6P42

G PARKER EHINGER
CINCINNATI

=================

For this next one. I will pick for the Cowboys but I will pick the highest rated player on the board. There will only be a few exceptions to this. If the player happens to be a k or punter I will pass. I will also (for the most part) not pick the same position back to back. So if a QB is the first pick and the second round comes up there and Cook (or other QB)is the top rated player I will pass on him and pick the next highest rated player.

4: R1P4

DE JOEY BOSA
OHIO STATE
34: R2P3

WR COREY COLEMAN
BAYLOR
67: R3P4

OLB JOSHUA PERRY
OHIO STATE
102: R4P3

TE AUSTIN HOOPER
STANFORD
136: R4P37

RB JORDAN HOWARD
INDIANA
190: R6P14

G DENVER KIRKLAND
ARKANSAS
213: R6P37

CB KEVIN PETERSON
OKLAHOMA STATE
217: R6P41

S JORDAN LUCAS
PENN STATE
218: R6P42

OT AVERY YOUNG
AUBURN

It is just something a little different to do.

Sounds like how teams conduct their own mock drafts taking into account other team needs.

That's an excellent idea. I will try it myself.

I have one question though. This "other" team you picked for...were they ahead of or behind the Cowboys in the draft order?

If we don't go QB, I wouldn't be upset with a haul of Bosa and Butler in the first 2 rounds. Would make me feel a lot better about the D-line and the defense overall.

Only gonna do the first 4 rounds. Using Fanspeak board because it seems pretty similar to most other boards and it's updated regularly. I'm not gonna do necessarily what I'd prefer but I'm gonna be experimenting going different directions with the 1st pick and seeing how it influences my later picks.

I actually like all of those drafts. We should definitely come away with some good talent from this draft!
