This is getting ridiculous and quite embarrassing. The guy is scared of contact and the 9ers will attack this weakness.
Against the 49ers, all hands will have to be on deck to tackle their playmakers in space. Diggs is probably going to really struggle.

I’m honestly starting to move onto the fence with Diggs. He has turned into a good coverage guy, but hardly great. He is an absolute liability in run support, and honestly the level of effort he gives at times makes me wonder if he’s the type of player you want on your team long term.

Diggs is good and coverage but he too often gets lost and waaaay over reacts to basic moves. With that said, decent effort and we have to keep in mind all the balls that aren't coming his way due to coverage.

He should be embarrassed. Getting punked by Evan’s and avoiding contact altogether

I’m wondering if as thin as the Cowboys are at CB if the coaches are telling Diggs to limit contact as much as possible. Diggs was never one to focus on tackling but tonight seemed to be over the top.

Wonder what it’s like in the film season watching those plays. Will the rest of the D ride him? Seems like they will.

Didn’t consider that possibility. Seems unlikely, but I’ll bite.

He had one awful missed tackle on 3rd down vs the RB.

Aside from that his coverage was pretty good most of the night. Most of his business decisions involved him taking angles and forcing the pass catchers into another defender.

I'm not gonna be too upset with that. Evans didn't get his until garbage time.
He “missed” several tackles and gave up several completions

Tackling was already not his strength before but I think the Hamlin situation made him even more scared...especially since his brother witnessed the whole thing.

How many completions did Diggs give up though? Barely got targeted

it was bad. I was waiting for Diggs to attack and make a tackle he trys to let they run past and jump on top of them. I don't think I've seen him avoid making tackles like he did today.

He spent a good deal of the game shadowing Evans, who only began to make plays in garbage time. If that's your definition of "several completions."

Listen don’t get me wrong his tackling or lack there of wasn’t good. But I didn’t see a catch on him all night. He did his job in that respect

but why did he pick the playoffs to make some shameful decisions? you know Jerry is pissed.
He'll be in the last year of his contract next seasons. A severe injury now will have an impact on negotiations this offseason and could hold him out for all of next year.

Not saying that's why, but that's what a severe injury could result in.
