Diggs = Our Ed Reed

Hmm, wasn't Ed Reed a Safety, instead of a Cornerback?

Trevon Diggs is another Deion "Primetime" Sanders.

I get it... but to me Diggs is MORE Reed than Deion. Reed could tackle, wasn't as fast but was unbelievably ball "aware". Deion was faster than any player on the field. Gave him an advantage. That's why I say that Diggs is more like Reed than Deion regardless of position. This is NOT a bad thing to argue about BTW.....

Seems ridiculous...

It was the product of a very weirdly deep draft of DB's. A lot of very highly rated talent, it was rolling the dice on which one was going to be the hit.

If Lamb hadn't fallen the Cowboys may have taken Diggs in the 1st.

During his first "almost" pick and his actual pick, I have not seem very many CBs that can make up distance like that.

Not trying to blow it out of proportion, but the guy is seemingly baiting QBs knowing he can close the gap really quickly.

Yeah and the 1 he went up to grab and tried to land In bounds, dude is a monster.

So you want to move him to free safety?

Guy is leading the league in picks..

Gotta love armchair GMs

Tap the breaks guys... its been less than half a season. He looks like a talented player, but Ed Reed and Deion Sanders did this for YEARS.
Was thinking the same thing. Reed for example made 1st or 2nd team all-pro for 8 years ! (That's almost an entire decade of being elite, one of the greatest of all time).

Diigs is so aware and fast that he lets the WR get separation so that he can burn past them and get a pick. I do not think he's best suited for the soft zone formations because he gets beat here and there, but this is a huge positive to a CB because QBs aren't just going to stop passing to him.
I wish people would stop suggesting it. It's been 5 games plus the end of last season and they're not stopping.

That was an impressive catch, but what I was talking about is how Diggs seems to be running at just 90% in man coverage until he sees the QB start making the throw.

Then he cranks up to 100%, closes the gap, and ends up in better position to catch the ball than the receiver is. Yet if you go look at about a second or two before the QB throws the ball, the guy Diggs is covering is CLEARLY open.

It is VERY Deion like.

Dope...who cares about position?..(well I do when your sister is around)....I am just saying Diggs is a turnover MACHINE like Reed. Who cares about position? Unlike your sister.... Just sayin....

God I hope not. Ed Reed was allowed to free lance because he was so dynamic. Diggs win at the ball on assignment.

The Diggs int was like an instant replay of a classic Deion pick vs the raiders with us.. had to have been '95. The only thing missing was Diggs show boating and holding the ball in the air with one hand after the pick during the run back.

When a guy has 6 picks in 5 games.. it's ok to give him his flowers. Diggs ball hawking skills are comparable to Ed Reed. Even when he doesn't get a pick, he's making plays we haven't seen in 20 years. We've waited a long time for this.
