Ever since he was extended he can’t stay healthy. He probably doesn’t want to play with the season in the toilet. Seems like every player we extend with a big contract becomes injury prone. DLaw doesn’t seem like he wants to play. Players are opting out.

He just can't get healthy enough to get on the field for any kind of extended time this year.

Hopefully next year we can have the full compliment of CB's each game.

It may not be the players...........maybe Jerry and Stephen are making the calls. Quitely tanking ..........gives them a chance to evaluate younger guys.

the injuries on Defense would have caused a big struggle even if the FO had addressed the needs during the off-season.

I mean, I remember defenses of the past being banged up but this season has been ridiculous.

I think Osa, Mazi, Donovan WIlson, and Hooker are the only regular starters to play all 13 games thus far.

I very seriously doubt that with McCarthy fighting to get a new contract. If the Joneses are calling the shots on who’s going to be playing the organization is beyond screwed.

They are absolutely calling the shots in that regard. Do you remember the game several years ago where Jerry went down to the sideline around half time order Garrett to put Romo back in? I don't doubt for a second that the same thing has been happening every year since.

Why did Josh butler look better than Diggs this year? Did Zimmer tell him to play off 10 yards too?

I think he wanted Romo taken out so he didn’t get injured. The playoff seedings were already set so Jerry informed Garrett during the game. This situation is entirely different. I doubt Jerry likes paying Diggs all that money and having him sit on the sidelines. He wants his big money players on the field.

Honestly I'd put anyone that has injuries on IR and elevate any young or practice squad players for the reps and experience. Playoffs are not possible at this point but might find a couple gems that could help next year

Here's the story from 2014. Garrett denied it, but we all saw Jerry on TV going down to the sideline DURING a game, and magically Romo appeared back on the field. So was Garrett really ordered and he's covering it up by denying it? The real question, though, why is the GM / owner going to the sideline during a game like that and trying to influence who is playing and who isn't? I can't remember a single time that has ever happened.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said owner/general manager Jerry Jones did not force him to put quarterback Tony Romo back in the game after he re-injured his back on Monday night.

Romo was hurt in the third quarter of the Cowboys' 20-17 overtime loss to the Washington Commanders when he took a knee to the back from Commanders linebacker Keenan Robinson.

He returned to the game for the final two minutes of regulation and the team's lone possession in overtime. Romo finished with 209 yards passing and one touchdown.

The injury prompted Jones to visit the sidelines during the game and deliver the news to Garrett himself that Romo was able to return to the game.

"I think the ideal situation is to get it communicated as quickly as possible and he felt like he could do it," Garrett said, according to ESPN.com. "It wasn't a big deal to me at all."

Romo was diagnosed with a back bruise after X-rays came back negative. He's expected to play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Garrett said he doesn't care how it looks that Jones, who has long been known to visit the sidelines during games, came down to the sidelines after being concerned about his franchise quarterback.

"Don't worry about [how] things are being portrayed," Garrett said."
