Diggs out on Sunday

I very seriously doubt that with McCarthy fighting to get a new contract. If the Joneses are calling the shots on who’s going to be playing the organization is beyond screwed.
If the Joneses aren't calling the shots then why was Zeke the starter until a month ago?

Zeke has only started 2 games this season while Dowdle has started 11 games. I don’t believe for one second the Joneses make the decision on who starts. McCarthy would have no interest coaching the team if that was going on.

This strength and conditioning staff can pack their bags.

On a positive note, anyone we use to replace him can't possibly be any worse.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is reportedly set to miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to a knee injury.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Diggs is set to undergo season-ending surgery on his knee ailment.
Diggs had already been ruled out for Sunday's road game against the Carolina Panthers with a "knee issue that has bothered him the past few weeks," per ESPN's Todd Archer.

Here's the story from 2014. Garrett denied it, but we all saw Jerry on TV going down to the sideline DURING a game, and magically Romo appeared back on the field. So was Garrett really ordered and he's covering it up by denying it? The real question, though, why is the GM / owner going to the sideline during a game like that and trying to influence who is playing and who isn't? I can't remember a single time that has ever happened.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said owner/general manager Jerry Jones did not force him to put quarterback Tony Romo back in the game after he re-injured his back on Monday night.

Romo was hurt in the third quarter of the Cowboys' 20-17 overtime loss to the Washington Commanders when he took a knee to the back from Commanders linebacker Keenan Robinson.

He returned to the game for the final two minutes of regulation and the team's lone possession in overtime. Romo finished with 209 yards passing and one touchdown.

The injury prompted Jones to visit the sidelines during the game and deliver the news to Garrett himself that Romo was able to return to the game.

"I think the ideal situation is to get it communicated as quickly as possible and he felt like he could do it," Garrett said, according to ESPN.com. "It wasn't a big deal to me at all."

Romo was diagnosed with a back bruise after X-rays came back negative. He's expected to play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Garrett said he doesn't care how it looks that Jones, who has long been known to visit the sidelines during games, came down to the sidelines after being concerned about his franchise quarterback.

"Don't worry about [how] things are being portrayed," Garrett said."

Garrett denied that happened.

Are you that lost? Go look it up. Zeke only started 2 games this season. You have no clue if you think he was the starter until a month ago. He’s only had 13 carries the past five games. Dowdle has had double digit carries in 8 of the last 9 games.

I don't care who got the 1st carry of the Zeke.

Zeke was the RB getting the most carries.

I said it in March. Counting on this guy one year after ACL surgery would be a mistake.

He should've never been signed.

All the signs were there blatantly showing that if he's not getting INTs he's a liability.

He avoids contact and he's not shutting any WRs down.

I also seem to remember a time when the Eagles or someone lost and we were guaranteed a spot and Jerry went down to the field and told his Redheaded Son to take Romo out of the game.

I stand corrected.
