Something about this kid many fans aren't aware of is his work ethic is off the chart. Lots of players talk about working on their game but this kid is proving to be one of the hardest-working players on the team. After his rookie season, he noticed he had a chance at something 15-20 interceptions ( not sure the exact number) he left on the field.......... result, was an NFL record 11 interceptions. He recently talked about this past off-season and how worked on the little things to improve his coverage..........result, playing at an ALL-Pro level through 4 games

Rams game a prime opportunity for Trevon Diggs to continue his stellar season
Trevon Diggs can silence a lot of critics this week.

Diggs is a free agent after the 2023 season so expect either a franchise tag (currently stands at $17.2M for 2022) or a Top 5 CB contract extension (currently in the $20M/season average)....also consider that Micah Parsons is a free agent after the 2025 season (his 5th year rookie option for 2024 would be around $18M. Hopefully Diggs keeps performing and Dallas can continue to build the defense.

Diggs will probably get an extension after this season. Parsons after next season. The good news is that their big cap hits won't pop up until 2025 for Diggs, and 2027 for Parsons. The cap should be a lot higher by then.

I have to say I've been impressed with his play this year, especially last week against Washington.

I don't mind paying at or near top of the market when the player is worth it.......take a step forward Diggs.

Take 25 steps forward Parsons.

It's the situation we get in when we pay top dollar for a good, not great one. I hope I end up being wrong here but Lamb looks like that player now.

Ouch.. Hoping by then the gambling and TV money is available on the cap.

I think we start nego with him after this season. The question is when to pull the trigger, after this season or after 2023 when his contract is going to expire. As of now, I have no idea what I would do........

He’s a great talent
With work ethic and discipline he can be the best CB in the NFL and he’s very young

These two, Parsons and Diggs, are the kind that you try to sign to an extension early. They both have been good out of the gate and have got better each year. They aren't contract year wonders.

@MountaineerCowboy we were both right. Room for improvement was your stance and his work ethic was my stance. Always glad when we are both correct on a certain matter. I’ve been in cuba the last week but I’ll be back to my normal posting self tomorrow when I touchdown and get back to reality.
Cheers mate

In Will McClay I Trust. But the only problem with the highlighted statement is...you have to pay the guy unless you want egg on your face and he walks to your division rival and INT's your QB or the rival wins the division. Is it the Front Offices fault or the markets fault?

Seems to me you almost have to pay these players. Granted...we are fortunate to have Will McClay find new talent if we let guys walk...but its still a situation that is heavily in the players favor.

I agree on Diggs and Parsons. Matter of fact Parsons mentioned...maybe jokingly...That he goes where Quinn goes. Maybe sign Quinn as HC next year and get a little discount from his prodigies.

Maybe I'm kidding, maybe I'm not.

So it's a bad thing to think towards the future? Isn't that what team building is about?
For the team? Yes. For fans? Not so much. Let the guy put together two more years of tape before we determine we want to make him the highest paid corner of all time.

Can’t even justify firing Mike at this point unless they lose in the first round again.
