Diggs Year-in-Review Film

This is a really good watch and not your average highlight video. Shows Diggs PBUs and plays helping out in the run from various angles including All-22.

He definitely flashed potential and what he could bring. Consistency will be key. We'll see if Whitt/Quinn can develop him more

Yeah, for me, the most impressive (and pleasant surprise) thing about Diggs was his willingness to participate in run support.

I really thought we were getting a corner with ball skills that was soft against the run.

Cornerbacks that don’t shy away from the physical aspects of the game are critical part of every great defense.

I believe it was Bucky Brooks who had something on him on NFL network. He’s high on Diggs but he has a lot of chinks in his game right now. He pointed out a number of subtle mistakes he makes that get him beat.

He was one of the highest rated rookie cbs according to pff..maybe the highest rated..without seeing the video that you saw, I would tell you that your evaluation of his rookie season is not accurate.

He has the the intangible that all the great ones have, short term memory. That was his best attribute I saw.

PFF isn’t the gospel. You didn’t see a lot of receivers running past Diggs this season for scores? He caught a break on two of them. Julio Jones who had a bad ankle ran past him and dropped a sure TD pass and I believe it was TJ Metcalf who beat Diggs for a score but got the ball knocked out of his hands by Diggs as he loafed to the end zone. Diggs is scrappy but it was trial by fire for him this season.

Those were just two examples of receivers running past him this season. The point is he’s a rookie and has a long way to go. He’s going to have to get a lot better if he’s going to see a second contract. Fans are real high on him because we have such a need in the secondary and he was a second round pick that the Cowboys had a first round grade on. Fans were really high on Chido a few years ago who we took in the second round and he may not be back next season. He never developed into what we hoped for. The jury is out on Diggs.

Looks like a guy that needs some time. The skills were there but not consistently.

Which makes me think of DeAndre Baker. He was same way and may be someone to take a shot at.

That rap on him was BS entirely.

Agree he was much better the second half of the year than the first half. One of the highlight reels on him, not the one I attached started at the midway point of the season. You should’ve had the INT on Ridley. He puts himself in a position to make a lot of plays he just has to make them. He could have had as many as five INT’s this season he dropped at least two of them.
