I love the Macro stuff on the insects and the frog. Did you do those hand held?

From a battle reenactment I went to last year:

I did them all handheld. I was surprised the toad allowed me to get that close. :D

I take it you scheduled a photo shoot with the Mantis seeing how it actually posed for you. :)

Good job on capturing the rifle burst.

Rowdy, I liked all your shots but this is my favorite.

Good job to the rest of you all too. There are some really good shots in this thread.

That one was my favorite, too.

Great pictures!

Here are some facebook size images in Italy I took many years ago:

There are some great, great pictures in this thread! I've yet to see a single one that I wouldn't be proud to call my own. I'm no photographer, though. I think "snapshotter" would be a more accurate description.

I've been getting into HDR over the last year or so and I wish I'd never heard of it. It provides an exciting way of seeing things differently, but it makes it hard for me to compose normal, single exposure shots.

Very nice. HDR rocks.

Ahright, someone's shooting some high end glass and getting great shots out of it. If I were to take a guess, 300mm f2.8 possibly?

Now that I'm on the home PC, I can appreciate these a bit better.

This shot is the quintessential definition of 'tack sharp'. Beautifully done.

Great shots Haze. That owl is just awesome.

My dream camera,Haze. One day I'll move up to it,or the next generation.
Salty is right, high end glass makes a big difference. I'm saving for my first Canon "L" lens. It's an addiction,I tell ya!!!!!

It is an addiction. I just wished it wasn't so expensive! If you do get a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 they now have a new version that is a bit sharper wide open at 2.8

I just got the Canon 85mm f/1.8 and it is a sweet lens.
