I love the Macro stuff on the insects and the frog. Did you do those hand held?

From a battle reenactment I went to last year:

I did them all handheld. I was surprised the toad allowed me to get that close.

I take it you scheduled a photo shoot with the Mantis seeing how it actually posed for you.

Good job on capturing the rifle burst.

There are some great, great pictures in this thread! I've yet to see a single one that I wouldn't be proud to call my own. I'm no photographer, though. I think "snapshotter" would be a more accurate description.

I've been getting into HDR over the last year or so and I wish I'd never heard of it. It provides an exciting way of seeing things differently, but it makes it hard for me to compose normal, single exposure shots.

It is an addiction. I just wished it wasn't so expensive! If you do get a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 they now have a new version that is a bit sharper wide open at 2.8

I just got the Canon 85mm f/1.8 and it is a sweet lens.
