Trent Dilfer rates his 4 underappreciated qb and the number 1 person is Tony Romo followed by Matt Hasselback, Mathew Schaub, and Kyle Orton. Reported that Romo has one the quickest release and the ball gets to the WR, TE quickly. Compares it to Kurt Warner. Reported that other qbs around the league marvel at athelticism and his talent. Said that in his last full season he has had one of the steadist season in history. Said that it is flat out wrong to call him a choke artist. He plays in high profile games and that means more eyeballs. More scrutiny. Just FYI.

But none of those guys can possibly be any good since they haven't won a SB.

Oh wait, I should have just done this:

Brady=3, those guys=0. End of discussion.

I hate that crap!

I'm ready for more action and less talk. I don't care what anyone has to say about any player, yap yap yap, I just want to see wins.

One of Romo's talents coming into the league was his quick reads, and sometimes I think when he sees his first two reads covered he assumes the third guy will be open and pulls the trigger because his internal clock tells him its now or never. He has to learn that sometimes, everyone is covered and never is preferable to now. Just sayin...

But it would increase our win percentage even more if Garrett would learn how to manage the game better. Romo is good, even great perhaps. But he isn't superman. Leaping residential houses is one thing, but asking him to leap tall buildings, he'll fall back to Earth...

Well, if the Refs hadn't screwed them over, Hasselback WOULD have a Ring right now.

Exactly! Winning or losing a SB isn't solely on the QB but some nimrods around here refuse to comprehend that fact. :bang2:

lol, me too. But I would not mind it if they pointed out only outstanding performances by QB's during the entire playoff run when they did it. The only thing that bothers me is they fail to acknowledge how much everything beyond just the QB goes into a ring.

Rogers is the new golden boy for the Romo haters and they ignore his 0 TD, 2 INT NFC Championship game with a 55.4 QB rating. Without his team bailing him out that day, they lose a playoff game, oh noes!

But that's OK because he won a SB. :laugh2:

Dilfer is right. Those who say otherwise are deadheads.

Please don't allow someone who has actually played the POSITION of QB tell these oh so knowledgeable fans here on the zone that OUR QB isn't as bad as they try to make him out to be!!
:laugh2:

I think you could have just put that Rodgers is the new golden boy, period! That guy can do no wrong in most eyes! I love how Skip Bayless has been saying this week with the whole Favre vs. Rodgers that Rodgers blew that playoff game against Arizona two years ago with a late turnover and thinks Favre was right in his comments that he should have won the Super Bowl sooner.

I don't know if I agree with Matt Schaub, since he always comes up small when they need 4th Quarter comeback.

But man, Matt Hasselback is so underrated and unappreciated. I don't if it was blabber mouth Warren Sapp, but he was saying before season started, when Hassleback plays well it will be a surprise or something to that effect ( not 100% sure, so don't take that for the truth).

When Matt had good team around him, he has been very good. Him being in Seattle and not winning SB, along with Injuries has really put a big dent on his legacy.

Roethlisberger had a QB Rating of 22.6 in his first SB.

Every time I see that stat, it just blows my mind. He did everything in his power to lose the game for the Steelers and they still won.

They did have a sick defense that year. Like, really good.

He & Dilfer (as well as some others) prove the old adage that defense wins championships.

I've literally never heard this complaint before, nor have I ever thought it. What do you base this on?
