  • I would hate to be a Houston Texans fan right now. Carr looks great with Johnson and Moulds. 12/15, 164 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT. Their leading rusher? Vernand Morency. 5 carries for 13 yards. All but one long one were stuffed. Imagine what could have been with Reggie Bush to complete the package. I feel your pain Texans fans.
  • Baltimore is confirming my suspicion that they will be an AFC powerhouse this year. They're trampling the Buccs. You gotta realize that Baltimore has been a solid team for years now, they just never had a passing game. McNair and Mason connected all the time not too long ago in Tennessee. Expect at least 10 wins for Bmore and a strong Playoff push this year.
  • Seattle looks as stuffy as they did against us in preseason. We'll see if they come out on fire in the second half.
  • The preseason was no fluke. Carson Palmer is lighting it up. My early favorite for MVP. Remains to be seen what he can do against defenses not in a Chiefs uniform.
  • The Bills are steamrolling over the Pats. Who saw that coming? Still only 10 points separating them from the Pats, though, and I've seen Brady comeback from several games like this.
  • Steven Jackson has 40 yards. With a lead over the Broncos, it's time for the Rams to eat up the clock and prove that their new offense works. I hope this isn't the year we regret passing Jackson in the draft.
  • The Panthers are still a losing team whenever Steve Smith is out of action.
  • The Vince Young era begins next week if it doesn't start in the second half. :p:

Vick looks more comfortable than I've ever seen him look behind center since he left Blacksburg. John Abraham is a monster.

I can only see Atlanta and Baltimore outside of highlights.

Regarding Atlanta - this is your NFC South Champion. Vick looks great, and John Abraham is going to vault this defense into spectacular. Yikes.

Regarding Baltimore - I chose Tampa because of home field, but it was a dumb pick and against my better judgement. McNair makes that offense credible, and even if the defense isnt as mighty as 1998, it is still stuffy. This is a well rounded team.

Oh yeah - and Chris Simms is still the same crap QB he has always been.

I picked Atlanta as my NFC South champs. Couldn't stand all the manlove for the Panthers. I guess it all comes full circle. People were saying the exact same thing about the Falcons at the beginning of last year. as they were about the Panthers this year. We'll see what happens as the year goes on. One thing is for sure, I wish we had the Panthers kicker. :(

Ill stay on the abraham bandwagon. He's forced carolina to totally reshuffle their line schemes. They've replaced wharton. put wahle on him, and know jordan gross is the next in line. Quickest first step off the ball of anyone in football period!!!!!!

Ain't that the truth. That's a great leg.

I haven't liked the Panthers since even 2003. I hink the stars lined up for them to get to the SuperBowl.

Delhomme is alright, but he is not as good as his rep. I think he is the guy parcells talks about when he says 'bus driver.' he just isn't too accurate. I often hate on him, which is something I'm not proud of, but I do it because I wretch at the love he gets.

I for one am still happy we never picked him up.

Hey TBC, any thoughts on Chad Pennington?

You know that qb who half the planet said was 'finshed?"

Quite a job of spreading that ball around....and looks like (for now) Chad did beat that second 'insurmountable' shoulder injury.

Doesn't look like the Bills will hold the lead much longer.

John Abraham is absolutely sick.

I am a HUGE fan of the 4 point stance. I'm so glad to see him using it well.

Yeah, Jets are a mild surprise today too. No one will give 'em credit for it, though, cause they're playing the Titans. Two teams everyone had written off, but it looks like Tennessee fans will be having those high first rounder discussions a lot earlier than Jets fans this year. :)

Maybe the Jets can pick up Brady Quinn. :)
