Is anyone in Atlanta having issues with HD feeds tonight? I'm not getting much of anything in HD, including not getting CBS in HD for the NCAA's, which I know is screwed up. I called DTV and they said there were no issues they knew of and blamed it on the local stations, but this has never happened to me before. Anybody else having this problem?

I don't know if it's any correllation but I was having the same problem yesterday here in Virginia.
I haven't checked today to see if it's working but yesterday I lost the HD channels as well as some of the "specialty" channels, I believe.

I seem to have the channels like ESPN and etc etc in HD, but nothing local. And there's no way they are not broadcasting the NCAA's in HD. Also, almost every local news broadcasts in HD here, and tonight it wasnt.

I don't mean to be ignorant, but sometimes you may have to reset the 'red button' on the HD box, more than once sometimes. I seem to have to reset my box every Sunday, for some reason. I live in Md.

Consider yourself lucky. First, lucky that the mods didn't bury your post under the obscure 'other topics' section of this site. Second that you can get network programming at all. Here in Beaumont, TX, there is no network HD programming, but the local NBC and ABC stations did grant me a waiver to get the feeds from the east and west coasts. The Fox affiliate and CBS would not give us a waiver for any programming, period.

This means I had to keep the cable to get the Cowboys games and local news and weather in Beaumont. I tried to ask the fans in this area about their experience w/ DirecTV, but as I said before, my request got moved to some forum nobody reads (well, very few people) and I made the wrong choice. Dish Network would have given me local and NFLN and I wish I'd have gotten that instead...

I got the same thing on the tournament last night, only I was getting the local CBS directly over the air and not from DTV. So I think they were telling the truth. Looks like it was CBS' problem.

I did get an aswer. The local affiliate (Ch 46) decided they didnt want to pick up the HD feeds because they said "there's too many channels involved"

what utter b/s

anyway not only are we not getting the 1st and 2nd rd games in HD, we're not getting the Sweet 16 games Thursday and Friday either. They are not picking up the HD feeds until the Saturday/Sunday games next weekend.

horrendous IMO...I cant wait till standard definition is a thing of the past
