He might be a good QB, but in no way would I trade up to #2 to draft a small school QB, who doesn't fit your players or current scheme.

He fit our scheme perfectly and we only had to move from 4...yeah. You lost your possibility of a future franchise QB (to a division rival) even though this is a QB oriented league while ours is aging and injury prone; we're back in the top 5 if Romo is out again. Back to Cowboy fan state: Wentz you small school bust waiting to happen AND you cost your team's ability @ building the trenches. :D

Wentz, seems like a good kid. Hate that he is now caught up in all that Philly crap. I do think it is hilarious what all the Eagles gave up to get him and how much money they now have tied up at the QB position. What a great mess!

How do you know what their scheme is with a whole new coaching staff? And what do you mean doesn't fit their players?

Wentz is going to have to make a big jump in the nfl and needs all the time he can get. He only started 1 full season in college, spent half of his senior season injured and returned very rusty towards the end. There is no doubt he is a smart, hard working kid with a big arm and the athleticism, but has a long way to go. He has a tendency to lock in on the primary receiver and struggles with accuracy getting it to secondary options. He can make throws into tight windows, but those windows get even tighter in the nfl. And by the way this was all against lesser competition.

Just wouldn't pick the guy top 5. No need to be mad.

Our coaching staff worked with him at the all star game this offseason. They had a unique position to get to know him better than the Eagles ever could. If he was seen as all that then I think the Cowboys would have tried to trade up to get him. But they didn't and the Eagles did and at a kings ransom at that.
