Yeah, would really like to see them win the next 2 before I put any stock or hope back into the season - they have two weeks to heal up and get ready, plus they know what's coming with Philly.

Unfortunately I still can't see how they get past the 49ers unless there are serious injuries which i refuse to hope for.

At this point, I think 6-2 means season is turning up, 5-3 means same old, 4-4 means we're in trouble
I am not concerned with SF. It is a long season. SF could peak, maybe they already have, Dallas could finally get hot and get the offense going. And peak.
If we get to the playoffs, there may be a chance we don't even face them again. Too far away to be concerned. And as you said, injuries may happen.

However, we know the narrative on that. Beat SF if they have injuries...but, but, but SF was lacking players ... As if we never lacked players either.

The things that continue to concern me are:
1. They still have no offensive answer in the red zone.
2. The penalties. They are offensive drive killers, and defensive drive extenders for the other team. I feel like the only time I hear Kearse mentioned it’s because he’s committing an unnecessary penalty, usually unnecessary roughness or unsportsmanlike conduct.
3. The rushing game. TP is really only effective when he can bounce to the outside, yet they continue to send him right up the middle. They are always 2nd and 9 or 3rd and 9. They need to design more plays to get him outside, screens, whatever. And they need to find someone who can pound up the middle. It’s even more crazy when they try to run Deuce up the middle. Solve this issue, and you might also solve #1.

I appreciate your optimism and I guess I'm just worn out as a fan...the SF loss was pretty bad for me and I have lost nearly all faith in Dak...

Guess we will just have to see how it plays out...i just dread being there again in Jan with it all on the line just to watch it end the exact same way again

This is the kind of game id like dak to play more of. He was...at least average. He wasnt super human nor did he mess in his pants.
Be more consistently average (and use your legs).....and we are a better team.

I have said that a million times on TP. "He can showcase his speed to the edge".
Thats fine but we have to effectively grind up the middle too.

This was where Zeke was great. Even though they stacked the box against him, he could wear down the defense. But also get goal line TD's as well as 1st downs.
Those 1 and 2 yards runs bring down the average. But are important later in. the game. Wear down that defense. Pollard can't do that.

FO dropped the ball on that like Pollard has done 2 times in the past 2 games.

Qb position looked pretty questionable at times

Not a fan at all of the offensive play calling

Defense balled out against a really good QB

Dirty, but a win is a win, I can go to work and talk smack
I thought the QB position looked very good. Dak was under pressure all night, and other than holding the ball too long a couple of times he handled the pressure very well.

It was nice to see after last week where Dak didn't handle pressure well at all.

The running game was easily the bigger problem on offense.

The big key for the defense was shutting down Eckler and the Chargers running game. That put everything on the Chargers passing game, and allowed the Cowboys to pressure Herbert all night.

Agree. Dirty game. Way too many penalties. Some dumb coaching decisions (going for it on 4th down when score was 7-7 in 2nd Q instead of taking chip shot FG for the lead - this team is built to play with a lead, and you take it any way you can get it).
Dak played a good game. He threw more intermediate routes, which I think are his best. Used his legs. Took a couple of sacks he did not need to take, but otherwise played well enough to win.
Defense shut down their run.
Lamb got his passes, and it resulted in a 100+ yd game for him.
Running game still struggling. I know several think the problem is Pollard, but I think it is the OL. Maybe those injuries are not healed yet, but the holes are not opening.
The whole Offense is struggling. Only 3 TDs in last 8 Quarters.

I was expecting offenses to take the center stage, but it was a defensive game full of sloppy penalty filled play. Cowboys go on the road and come out with a win though. We’ll take it to the bye.

No turnovers from the offense and the bizarre punt mishap-that I’m not sure carries blame.
Agreed! The board was blasting Tolbert, but I'm guessing he thought one of our guys touched it? Regardless, mistakes happen to every team and I'm glad they pulled out the win!

He missed throws but so did the other QB.

What worries me is Tyler Smiths regression. Remember the guy you said could replace Martin? You need to be objective about EVERY cowboys player. Not just ones like Parsons and Martin.
In what game does a QB not miss throws? Dak completed 70% of his passes and had pressure all night. How many times did he have to leave the pocket to buy time to throw?

I don't see anything to complain about this game other than he held the ball too long a few times. Last week was when he didn't play well and didn't handle the pressure well. This week he did well.

like Sherman said,” two lightweights fighting on the undercard”

If the season ended today we’d be a wildcard team just like last season

Guys...just relax concerning Mike McCarthy and trust what he's doing. If MG catches the ball in the endzone we win going away. We are very close, closer than what u guys think. It says something about us when we have 20 flags, leave points on the field, and STILL get the win on the road, when the other team had 2 weeks to get ready. That is very hard in this league. BTW, the Eagles and niners had very ugly games which they lost. I bet ya they would like to get a win like we did. We beat the Jets handily yet the Eagles were beaten. We have hope guys. In this league, it aint always gonna be pretty. Sometimes u just get the w and get out of town. We did that and I get it, why MM called the game the way he did. It was smart actually....given the way the refs were calling the game and the way the line was getting flagged. Understand this, the Ravens get wins like this, many other teams do, yet they get praised for it as being gritty. But Dallas gets hammered for it because they want us winning by 20. We have spoiled the fans and the media I think. An unfair standard exists and to some degree, its Dallas' fault along with the main culprit, Jerry Jones. A WIN IS A WIN. We will fix the issues.

great point. We see it every Sunday. Hurts missed many throws and in our game, Dak missed on 1 to Pollard. Herbert missed on several. Why does Herbert and Hurts get a free pass? Dak outplayed him by a mile if we factor in the balls that should have been caught. We will be a team that nobody wants to play in the playoffs if we can clean things up. I trust in MM. Hes my coach and he has rings to show he understands how to win. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think he has at least 2 rings as an assistant coach before he even won a ring in GB. HE MAY HAVE LIKE 3 RINGS. He spent time with the niners, Saints then GB. I bet Sean Payton would luv to have him right now on staff. Just my 2 cents. Relax guys and gals. Enjoy the journey.Tune out the media shock Jocks and TV experts..ie the white noise. I see something good down the road for us.Learning how to grind out a win when everything isnt going just right, builds character and chemistry, and brings the team closer when it matters. Very last thing. I called out DQ after last week. To his credit, he rallied the guys, made changes and they responded. Kudos to him. Clean up the busted coverages and watch out. We are dangerous. Game ball goes to Bell btw. WE have a star in the making, an enforcer.
