To be driven only in good weather,I suppose?

It's just for getting in and out of the car, not driving with them off like a Jeep.

What he means is...try parking in some snow, see how that door works.

....Or you better hope you have a covered parking space to get in and out of the car when it's raining like a cow pi**ing on a flat rock.

Exactly, I see two of these sold in Seattle. Both to dealerships as promo demos.

Unless you drive a Delorean, there isn't much protection from a car door in the rain, regardless of the style.

I guess I just don't see the big deal with getting a bit wet.

I'm in no way worried about YOU getting wet. Any healthy size rain will do a lot of soaking to the side opened to the elements. That's all I'm saying.

Well, one would hope they would have a foresight to take that into consideration when designing the interior of the car.

Watch the film again. Do you think a driving rain would find it's way onto the car?
