It’s not rocket science.

Discipline is the one thing that has been missing in this organization on all levels.

what other franchise besides maybe Cleveland has there been a constant barrage of extracurricular law violations off the field.

Garrett is all about encouragement and empowerment but that doesn’t work for everyone.

You take a kid that grew up with nothing, no father figures and all of a sudden they are loaded. They don’t need a coach that builds up their ego. They need the discipline they never had.

This translates to on the field discipline, accountability instead of feeding their narcissism. (DLaw I’m talking to you and your dam hot Boyz)!

I agree, but discipline is a life long effort. Most people have very little discipline, not just athletes.

Agreed. Been saying for weeks it's the players. Funny how they came and played hard yesterday compared to last week at Philly. The constant drive-killing dumb penalties is also a sign of a lack of discipline. Etc.

They need a coach(es) who will instill hard discipline, focus and determination in these players while holding them accountable.

my point is Garrett is a glorified motivational speaker. Works great for some but it is a detriment to others. It forces a choice against discipline by its very nature. It’s a cowards way out of situations which require tough love. Anyone who is a parent understands this.

See I disagree.

I think we have had everything a franchise should have outside of Sunday coaching,

The gameplan has been call some plays and hope our talent wins out for a decade.

Dallas making the defense play on their heels has been a rare thing.

It's just players imposing their will for the most part.

Discipline starts at the top. Anybody think Jones is disciplined? He's like the popular kid in the sand box who starts throwing the sand first and the other kids join in. Until you change his behavior the behavior of the other kids won't change.

Jones is at the heart of that.....when Jones tells the coaches to take it easy on Zeke because he has been through a lot, then it just screws up the whole accountability thing. when Jones goes into business with the players...then it all gets mixed up on accountability......the mess starts at the very top.

so players getting busted in their external life. Constant drug violations.

Dumb penalties, lack of understanding their role, knowing what to do under pressure.

that’s not lack of discipline?

I completely agree. Was just about to post this. Jerry runs a football team and a half way house.

Also agree with all that. The stupid penalties have been going on for years! Even when they play good it's usually because they have to overcome some stupid holding call or offsides penalty. And I've seen enough ILLEGAL FORMATION penalties from this team to last a lifetime.
This team needs a coach who will enforce discipline, but even with that, I'm not going to be sold they will ever make another SB. Not until JJ releases hold of the GM spot.
