Let me preface this by saying I am a loyal Cowboys fan and will continue to root for them every week until the bitter end. However, as I sit here and reflect on this season in general and yesterday's game in particular, I get a sick feeling. I look at the rosters of the Cowboys and Commanders and I can't help but see that we have so much more talent than they do. They don't have any wide receiver nearly as good as Dez or Austin, no stud tight end light Jason Witten. No Superman like defensive player like D-Ware yet we got pounded by them yesterday. What the hell is wrong? Is it the coaching, the lack of an OLine, a total lack of knowing how to win or a combination of all of the above? They keep saying that winning is "A PROCESS". I'd like to see this process come to fruition in my lifetime. I am so frustrated as I watch this team. Sometimes they show flashes of brilliance but you just sit back and say "just wait, here it comes again". Something needs to change or this will continue to be repeated over and over again. As one of the posters says, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I think we all have gotten used to the results week after week, season after season. You would think the teams braintrust would see it. JG talks about the RKOG's, but quite honestly if the RKOG's aren't ready to do battle until the bitter end for a total of 60 minutes, then things need to change. We looked like complete crap in the first half yesterday and then made this great charge in the 2nd half but still came up short. Why not do that from the start? Coaches are paid to get teams ready to play, Unfortunately, once again the Cowboys were not ready at the opening kickoff. Same result, too little, too late. Sorry to rant, but I needed to get that off my chest.

The sad thing is I am making the trip to Cincy in two weeks with my son to catch the game vs. the Bengals. My son is a Bengals fan and he actually has more to look forward to than I do. Think about that!!!!

Like i said in another thread, if you can't get a handle on false starts by week 11, there's nothing else to say. I seen HS coaches take 2 sometimes 3 weeks to handle fundimental flaws, but there is something drastically wrong with this staff.

JG has 2 assistants who whould love to be HC here, I expect the finger pointing to begin, and the team to divide over the next few weeks. Thank God we have the helpless eagles next week, or it might blow up then.

Well, actually you can have more to look forward to than he does.

Im waiting for my son to get old enough to take to a game. SO I envy you right now.

You just have to put the football part aside and look forward to the experience with your son and realize you will have to be happy for him. I know its the right thing to say. It might be easy to say. But, it would be hard for me to see my son happy at my teams expense even though I would enjoy seeing him have a great time.

Our team is not worthy of any real emotional investment by us as fans so I truly hope you have a good time with your son, no matter who wins or loses.

Fly in...pick up your son...then go wherever the Houston Texans are playing and watch the reincarnation of the 90's Cowboys play football. At least there is one team left in Texas worthy of rooting for. What a line...what a running back...what a QB... Now they play football.

I hear what you are saying. I actually meant the football game part of it. Nothing in my life is more important than my family and we will have a ball. He even agreed with me to stay in the Cowboys hotel!! We are leaving upstate NY early Saturday am and driving so we can get there to watch college football at a sports bar on Saturday. Then to the game on Sunday and stay overnight and be well rested (any maybe hungover) for the ride home on Monday. He bought the tickets and my wife is taking care of the hotel (it was my birthday present this year). Do I have a great family or what? :)

RHG is a "Dead Man Walking"... The offensive "offensive" line are the pallbearers & Tony "Romeo" Romo is the undertaker. Maybe Jerry will morph into the "Grim Reaper" and put this team out of its misery...

What you say may be all well and true, but I don't need to hear this crap TODAY!! In keeping with the spirit of the Thanksgiving season,I swore I wouldn't add anyone to my "ignore" list. In this case,I just can't help it!

I have to spend the holidays with my in-laws who live there. The only decision I have to make it pack my Cowboy gear or play it safe and pack regular clothes.

Easy decision. They already know you're a 'Boys fan.....Pack the 'Boys gear!!!

I feel pretty good. We need a safety and a couple of offensive linemen to contend for the Super Bowl next season. (Yeah, I know, 4 would be nice...) If Church is healthy, he'll be adequate, but we really need some depth.

Also, we finally got Ogletree to the bench, and Harris looks like a good, cheap replacement for Laurent Robinson. Beasley is going to be a good possession receiver.

I think the future is looking bright.

Perhaps Miles Austin isn't that good? Maybe Witten is declining a bit, even though he's still very good. I'd easily take Garcon over Austin. Murray isn't that much better than Morris. And if he is marginally better than Morris, that's outweighed by the fact that Murray's usually on the bench. I always question those who think the Cowboys have this mega-talented team.

did you watch the game yesterday?

There was a time when it bothered me but that time hss come and gone. As long as the Cowboys are held hostage with Jerry Jones as the GM, or anyway involved with daily football decisions, we're never going to see this team turn around. Thankfully I've seen the Cowboys win Super Bowls and play dominant consistently in my life. I'm very lucky.

Yes, I watched the game. Did you know the 1992 World Champion Cowboys lost a regular season game to the Eagles 31-7 after having two weeks to prepare? I doubt if they looked any better in that one game than the Cowboys did last night.

I think Garrett is bringing in and molding "the right kind of guys". I also think if we had Ratliff, Lee, and Church we would have won the game last night.

I don't see any way Jerry doesn't improve the offensive line next season, with Garrett to guide his choices. I think the difference in picking our new players is all Garrett. He's signing "football players", but it is impossible to fix an over-the-hill NFL team in two years.

Once we can run the ball again, Garrett's play calling won't look nearly as suspect as it does now. Remember, Landry was the genius, but he could just hand the ball off in the red zone and score touchdowns.

So, yeah, I think the future is bright - we're finally on the right track.

OK, buddy, we see these things (completely) differently.

Agreed. I'm so sick of the crap that we have now I have given up all hope. It's just the same thing week after week, year after year. It's going to be this way as long as Jerry controls the team.
