Dispute Between Neighbors

A town councilor in Wales , Mark Easton, had a beautiful view of the mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the land below his house and built a new home.

The new home was 18 inches higher than the planning dept had approved, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost view, went to the local authority to make sure they enforced the roof line height.

The new neighbor had to drop the roof height, at great expense.

Recently, Mark Easton called the planning dept, and informed them that his new neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his new property.

Mark didn't like the look of these vents and asked the planning dept to investigate.

When they went to Mark's home to see what the vents looked like, this is what they found...

The Local Authority said the vents can stay since there is no planning law referring to shutter design.....

The best is that they have a picture of the d-bag with the vents made for him in the background.

Looks like a case I've seen many times during my years in construction.......

Some people live adjacent to a vacant lot for so long, that they full put-upon and offended that someone has the nerve and gall to actually buy the lot an build a house!

It happened to me even. I bought 5 acres here in Hawaii and built our dream house on it around 2001. There's always one neighbor (sometimes a few) who've been here so long they think they own the neighborhood. Sort of the "unofficial Mayor" of the area. Sure enough, the guy on the four acres next to my lot sent me a certified letter explaining what I could and could not do in a area zoned for agriculture. Like 15-20 items that "he'll be watching for and checking up on". I sent him a letter back telling him to go pound sand up his arse, and if he caused my any grief that I'd slap a hefty lawsuit on him so fast it'll make his head spin.

He came over after he got the letter bearing gifts. Called it a "big misunderstanding". Yeah, right. A certified letter just happened to get in the mail! Haven't had a problem with him ever since.....................

This guy is just that type. A busy-body in others affairs. They shoulda' had vents installed with the letters "F" and "U".

Nice story. Love it. The chump gets what he deserved. I hate snitches.

As a kid, I remember my dad building a fireplace and then having to tear it down because some jealous neighbor complained, said it was too high or too close to their property.
