Let's face it the only way we get into the playoffs is winning the division. I think Seattle has the best chance at the wildcard. Look at the remaining schedules.

Giants 6-4 (Green Bay) (@Wash) (N.O.) (@Atlanta) (@Baltimore) (Philly) I think they finish 9-7 and win the division

Cowboys 5-5 (Wash) (Philly) (@Cinn) (Pitt) (N.O.) (@Wash) I think we finish 8-8 miss the playoffs.

The wildcard I see the Seahawks grabbing that last spot with the better schedule even though I don't belive in any easy games in the N.F.L. Look at the rest of the teams schedules and see for yourself.

Seattle 6-4 @ Miami @Chicago Arizona @Buffalo San Fran St. Louis

Minnesota 6-4 @Chicago @Green Bay Chicago @St. Louis @ Houston Green Bay

Tampa Bay 6-4 Atlanta @Denver Philly @N.O. St. Louis @Atlanta

New Orleans 5-5 San Fran @Atlanta @New York Giants Tampa Bay @ Dallas Carolina

Seattle seems to have the better schedule of all those teams. Here's your NFC Playoff

1) Atlanta
2) Chicago
3) San Fran
4) New York
5) Green Bay
6) Seattle

Boys122 is pretty much correct. Right now there are 5 teams ahead of Dallas in the wild card. Hard to beat 5 teams.

There are sites that do football playoff predictions. I talk about them on my blog. Cool Standings, the only one of the three that updates on a Monday, has the odds of Dallas getting into the playoffs as 39.4%, of which 37.4% rest on winning the division and 2.0% on a wildcard slot.

The other two will update perhaps Tuesday. But all three systems generate results in the same ballpark, using distinctly different methodologies.

I agree especially looking at the Giants schedule. I mean man the only easy game they have is Philly the last game of the season and Philly always plays the Giants tough.

Get to the playoffs and do what?

Playoffs..........one and done. Been there done that......

Are we really satisfied with that after years and years and years of nothing?

Look what jeffro has done to you. He laughs in your face while doing so.

He's an extortionist and a thief.

dallas passed more than 5 teams the previous two weeks.

if they win thursday they move to a 50% chance to make playoffs according to those prediction sites.

dallas has tie-breakers over virtually every team because of a great divisional record. it pays to lose mostly against afc teams.

this site is updated and shows dallas as the 6th most likely nfc team.

This. The next two games are ultra important. Being 4-1 with 1 division game left will put us in a great position for the division especially.

I like to take it game by game but thought this thread might strike up some good conversation.

I was going over the playoff scenarios in the NFC this morning and seen some interesting remaining schedules with the teams still in the hunt. Of course any of the games can go either way, it'll be fun to watch down the stretch.

This game is equally important to the Skins, I don't know why most people have written them off. If they win this game they will be in a great position to win the division as well.

I can see both Dallas and NY at 9-7 easy. They split so whats the next tie breaker? Common opponents or points scored?

Keep winning games and we'll get there.

We won't go far, obviously. But I'd prefer a one and done in the playoffs than 7-9 and cleaning the house on wildcard weekend.

Winning games in my opinion is much more enjoyable than losing them.

Strange that I have to even say that. Should go without saying.

Our fan culture seems to be superbowl or bust. And that really sucks.

They are not in great position at all. They are 2 games behind NYG and already lost to them once.

They had lost 4 of 5 before beating Philly.
Seeing RG3 torch Philly has everyone excited but that team lost to Carolina 21-13 two weeks ago.

They do have us twice and the Giants again so could make it interesting but while we need to play well down the stretch they'd need to be perfect.

They can certainly beat us but odds are long for them doing much more than that. They simply started too poorly at 3-6.

Should be an interesting Turkey Day game.
But if we win they are toast and can start looking at their draft slot.

conf record then division record.... dallas very likely has tie breaker if both teams finish 9-7.

I don't see us making the playoffs, therefore, Garrett should be fired, but he won't.

Just not in the first round. :)

Damn, we have a ton of people who can predict the future.

And even more who don't get what a forum on the internet is for, apparently.

I, too, think Seattle has the inside track on the 6th seed. I would be thoroughly unsurprised if we took the 4th seed. I would be absolutely shocked if we were able to win the 6th.
