I enjoyed watching the rookie get after it last night, but Ahmad Dixon is going to have to play smarter when it comes to how often he lights people up.

Just one game, and he already has a concussion.

If you watched this guy at Baylor, he lights everybody up. He also gets burned more than a marshmallow on the beach, too.

I thought he was only checked for concussion. I have not heard the report yet.

Just about the time you start to get excited about a player on this team, especially a rookie, they get hit with an injury.

Dixon looked great in run support last night but a game like that is fish in a barrel for a safety looking to make tackles. The team drafted him to be a Danny McCray type of special teams hawk and he will do that, but I totally agree that we should tap the brakes on him doing anything for our defense this year.

20 tackles in one night will do that to a guy.....NFL.com stat sheet short changed the guy by about 8 tackles. Not bad for a guy playing 3 quarters. He's been everywhere. There should be a law a DB can only have so many tackles in a game before a LBer has to make a tackle.

Sound like the profile of a guy who needs to make his mark on special teams while taking a year or two to develop better technique. Likely not ever going to be a top S but he can learn to play in a way that hides shortcomings better

I think he could pay LB in some packages where he would only need to focus on the run right now while he works on his pass defense.

He had temporary neurological effects that were apparent after the impact.
That's a concussion - there does not have to be prolonged deficits or loss of consciousness.
When you see a collision like that on replay, you can sound educated by telling your friends it's a concussion.
Damage is cumulative, recovery is variable, and the victim needs to refrain from contact until all signs and symptoms have resolved.
