Let them walk: WR Cooks, DE Lawrence, RB Dowdle, QB Lance, LB Kendricks, P Anger, DT Joseph, T Edoga, DT Watkins

Resign- S Bell, CB Mukuamu, CB Oruwariye, DE Lawson, LB Vigil, DE Golston, LS Sieg, QB Rush, CB Lewis

Cut- SS Wilson, WLB Clark

FA's that won't count against comp pick formula(they were all cut)
1. LT/RT Charles Leno 1yr 7m
2. 3-Tech Sheldon Rankins 1yr 8m
3. CB Kendall Fuller 1yr 5m
4. S Juan Thornhill 1yr 4m
5. RB Raheem Mostert 1yr 3m

Regular UFA's
1. WLB EJ Speed 1yr 7m
2. MLB Anthony Walker Jr. 1yr 4m
Probably end up with a 5th and a 6th round comp picks from DE Tank, RB Dowdle
LB Kendricks contract cancel's out Speed and Cooks contract cancels out Walker. All other players leaving won't make enough to warrant a comp pick in return.

Draft
Trade- Seahawks get pick 12... Cowboys get picks 18 and 137 + DK Metcalf... the point total comes out to a high 3rd round pick in return for DK.
Give DK a 3yr 60m Dollar Extension with a void year and lower his cap hit this year to about 10m

Interesting trade idea to get DK but he will be the number 1 receiver on the market. At the very least Seattle will get a 2nd round pick for him.

I doubt he goes for a 2nd. Wherever he goes, he will want a new contract. Having to pay him that kind of money should lower the asking price a bit.

I think Davante Adams is the biggest name WR on the market, but that's subjective.

Anger is old(37) 2nd oldest punter in the NFL and expensive(Avg. 3m/yr) tied for 4th highest paid in the NFL.
There are plenty of really good college punters they can get in UDFA.
Alex Mastromano, Florida State
Kai Kroeger, South Carolina
Jeremy Crawshaw, Florida
Jesse Mirco, Vanderbilt
If undrafted these guys will make around 800,000/yr... almost 4x the savings.

Anger had a really good year but he is going to fall off soon. If youze guys want to resign him that's fine. I would rather spend that money elsewhere.

Kudos on the thread Topic idea and the thought you put into it. Well done. I agree with most of how you did it. Only thing I might change is the Leno kid. He's pretty bad. Gets pushed around and manhandled alot. I get it, he's just for depth, but we might supplement him with a draft pick late. Maybe a guy like Charles Grant from William and Mary. Looking at your final roster ,depth chart. You made the team better. I like it. Still would be concerned with the dline though. But overall, looks improved.

Whoever trades for DK is going to have to extend him fairly quickly…

There is ZERO chance we’re going to tie up around 55-60 million at the WR position.

That or 1-year rental.......nuggets suggesting 3rd or 4th rounders. Not a good fit for the Cowboys but the Texans, Chiefs, Pats and Bills should be all over it.

I want no part in giving up a top 100 pick for a rental.

Go after someone we can have for 2/3 years for the rest of Daks contract.

I think Adams makes the most sense - he still has some gas left in the tank.

Are you suggesting 32 yo Adams for 2/3 years? I agree DK isn't a good fit as mentioned....but it is not a bad deal for a team drafting near the bottom of rounds ( Bills, Chiefs, Ravens ). You're getting a WR1 26/27 years old.

The Seahawks are dreaming if they think they are getting this.........2nd max I can see

Metcalf isn't worth 30m a year. His numbers don't warrant top 5 WR money.
The highest I would go is 25m/yr.

Seattle is doing what your supposed to do in any negotiation. They're asking for the moon, and know that the price is going to come down significantly. You never know though, it doesn't hurt to ask; maybe they be lucky.

Weak receivers draft, the Seahawks should be asking for the moon. No second round draft pick will be as good as Metcalf. If the Seahawks are smart they will trade him on the first night of the draft. The could get a late first or or multiple 2nd/3rd round picks. The Cowboys should stay far away from Metcalf.

On an incentived based deal I’d be open to it. He’s put up 3 straight 1K+ yard seasons with some horrific QB play.

Have to imagine coming here being WR2 with a pro bowl caliber QB he’d thrive.

The Seahawks don't actually have to trade him. The latest report is they are starting at 1st and 3rd rounder.

So your swap of first rounders and a third likely won't work at this point.
